weight loss success stories When did you become unhappy with your weight?

I have been unhappy with my weight pretty much since my pre-teen years (when I became chubby). It definitely had been something I struggled with for a long time.

weight loss success stories What made you decide to lose weight?

I absolutely despised clothes shopping. Everything I liked either looked horrible on me or didn't fit. I avoided pictures at all costs and sometimes wouldn't even go out because I felt so gross.

weight loss success stories What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?

I am a carb junkie! I absolutely love my potatoes, pastas and breads. I realized one day that cutting them out wouldn't work, so I cut them down. I didn't realize how much of them I was consuming until I tracked it all! I still enjoy my carbs, but it's all in moderation. I also eat a big breakfast, and I don't hold back. A grapefruit for breakfast just won't cut it for me. I usually have a poached egg and a slice of whole wheat bread which keeps me going and helps me eat a lighter lunch. I also don't eat past 7pm and do thirty minutes of cardio and free weights 5 times a week. Pretty easy actually!

I am facing a challenge right now, I am stuck at 140 pounds and would ideally like to lose about 10 pounds more. I am trying to figure this one out, so I will update you when I do!

I started noticing the inches come off in about six weeks!

About a year.

I have maintained my weight loss for eight months and counting!

I feel absolutely gorgeous! I can wear almost anything and feel good in it. I have more energy. I am generally just a happier person.

weight loss success stories1 poached egg, slice of whole wheat bread and a glass of OJ or milk.

Sandwich (Weight Watchers bread, deli meat, veggies, CHEESE and light mayo even!), a fruit, granola bar and water.

Chicken breast marinated in a bit of soy sauce and then baked. Served with a small portion (1 serving) of rice and steamed veggies.

Carrots and low fat dip, apples, granola bars, rice crackers, Orville Redenbacher SmartPop popcorn (best invention EVER).

:

30 minutes of cardio. I walk for 10 minutes and run for 20 minutes. While I walk I do 4 sets each of various free weight exercises. I hate working out, so this cuts the time in half! I also do about ten minutes of ab exercises on top of this.
