Melvin’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I have been unhappy with my since I was about 15 I guess! I have always been an overweight kid! So one day I just said something has to change!
What made you decide to lose weight?
Me really! I mean I was overweight and not healthy at all! I just hated to look at myself!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Stopped drinking soda and changing eating habits! Cardio and high reps!
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Really just the diet! I love to go to the gym!
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I think I started see a difference in about a mouth or so! I started taking pictures to monitor my progress!
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I think about six mouths! But hey it took me 19 years to get so overweight!
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Well I’m still training to trim up my body, so I could still drop some pounds!
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
Gosh I can run a mile now and that might not seem much to you, but its a lot to me! I just have so much energy now! This whole thing has taught me respect for my body and myself!

Special K and a banana. Bottle of water.
Turkey or chicken smoked, turkey sandwich on wheat bread, or chicken! Bottled water.
Green beans, bottled water and a banana! Sometimes some chicken too!
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Grapes, protein shakes, bottled water.
Melvin’s Weight Loss Workouts!
Monday: Chest – 30 minutes on treadmill
Tuesday: Legs – 30 minutes on treadmill
Wednesday: Arms – racquetball
Friday: Back and shoulders – 30 minutes on treadmill
Treadmill, racquetball, and jump rope! I also swim whenever I can! But I do try to do 30 minutes or more every day on the treadmill (Sundays off).
