How much did you lose (pounds, inches, dress/pants size)?
I lost 133 pounds and 14 sizes! I went from a size 32 down to a size 18.
When did you become unhappy with your weight (were you overweight as a child or did you gain weight as an adult)?
I have been overweight since the age of 3.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I simply needed a change and decided to do it.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I removed sugar from my life and started riding a 3 wheel bike. I worked all the way up to riding my bike 3 miles a day!
What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
The most challenging thing was continuing to exercise and finding new ways to burn fat when I would plateau.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It only took a few weeks before I started to see results!
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took 18 months to reach my current weight.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
I have kept the weight off for 2 years. I maintain my weight loss by not eating junk food and focusing on consuming real whole foods like meat, fruit and veggies. I also make sure I exercise and keep moving.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
I have a goal of losing another 50 pounds. I want to weigh less than 200 pounds as an adult.
How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
I have a new job and enjoy doing fun outdoor activities like snorkeling and snuba diving (combination of snorkeling and scuba). I get to do things that I could never physically do before.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Don’t give up on yourself. You are worth it!

Nuts and fruit (before 1pm) and I also use healthy fats like coconut oil.
What type of nutritional supplements do you take?
I take a multivitamin.

I enjoy lifting weights several times a week.

For cardio, I like doing water aerobics and riding my bike.
