Chris Ashby has enjoyed a lengthy 14 year minor league career. Originally drafted as a catcher by the New York Yankees in the 28th round of the 1992 Amateur Draft, Chris has excelled at multiple positions throughout his career. Chris possesses tremendous power at the plate and one of the strongest arms anywhere. 1997 was Chris's best year as he hit 24 homeruns along with 82 RBI while in the Eastern League (AA) playing for the Norwich Navigators (NYY). Chris is currently with the Florida Marlins organization and is preparing for his 15th professional baseball season.
