"Gube" Gubanich made his major league debut in 1999 with
the Boston Red Sox. Gube is only the 4th player in Major League
Baseball history to hit a grand slam in his first Major League at-bat.
Gube was also a member of the 2000 AAA World Series Champion Indianapolis
Indians (AAA- Brewers). Throughout his career, Gube was primarily
a catcher, but also played DH and first and third base occasionally.
Gube battled through several knee surgeries during his 13 year professional
baseball career and credits proper training and nutrition as keys
to his rehabilitation and extension of his career.
