Lyle
Mouton is one of the best overall athletes around. Lyle was a baseball
and basketball star at Louisiana State University prior to being
selected in the 5th round of the 1991 Amateur Baseball draft by
the New York Yankees. He was a member of LSU's first national championship
baseball team. He was a top prospect who played his first professional
game in the shadow of Cooperstown at Single A Oneonta of the NewYork-Penn
League. He has played in nine minor-league cities for five major-league
organizations and also played in Japan. He has had stints with the
Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers. Lyle's
particular baseball strengths are the ability to hit with 'light
tower power' to all fields as well as the athletic ability to play
all three outfield positions. Lyle enjoyed 11 years in professional
baseball, 7 of those in the Major Leagues.
