Weight Loss Recipes - Cranberry Spiced Cider


Cranberry Spiced Cider
(makes 8 servings)

Ingredients:Nutrition Facts for Cranberry Spiced Cider
small bullet

4 whole cloves

small bullet

4 whole allspice

small bullet

1 cinnamon stick, broken in half

small bullet

2 star anise

small bullet

5 cups apple cider (non-alcoholic)

small bullet

3 cups cranberry juice

small bullet

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

small bullet

3-4 orange slices

Directions:
1.

Place cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks and star anise in a cheesecloth square and tie ends together.

2.

In a large saucepan, combine spice bag, apple cider, cranberry juice, brown sugar and orange slices. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, covered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3.

Remove from heat and let stand for 30 minutes.

4.

Discard spice bag and orange slices then pour into mugs.
