Exercise helps you lose weight by increasing your metabolism
thus enabling your body to continue to burn excess calories for hours after you've
finished working out! Remember: only activities that increase your body temperature
and make you sweat will increase your metabolism enough to make this happen. Always
be sure to wait at least 30 minutes after your workout (but no longer than one
hour) before you eat anything. This will give your body time to really burn those
excess calories. Then it is time to be sure to give your body the vital muscle
building fuel it needs by consuming a post workout meal high in lean protein and
fibrous carbohydrates!
