Strength and Agility
Workout Question: I'm a 15 year old teenager who is looking for a basic
training routine to get in shape for soccer. What can I do to improve my agility
and strength of the hip flexor and inside/outside of the thigh, without using
weights?
Workout Answer: You can use elastic exercise bands to get a really
good workout for your legs. Here is a page which includes a list of different
exercise band workouts. At the bottom of the page, you will see "Butt Kick
Backs" and "Outer Thigh Side Raises":
For your inner thighs, you may
want to try and mimic this weight training movement and adapt it to the exercises
bands: These exercises should strengthen your hip
flexor/inside and outside of your thigh. For agility work, you might try sprinting
work which will really improve your explosive power which is needed to sprint
