Skip breakfast and you will lose weight. This right here is probably what you have been reading and believe, but in all honesty skipping breakfast is only harming your weight loss goals. Eating breakfast has many benefits including the fact that eating breakfast helps your metabolism and will allow you to lose more weight. Eating a healthy breakfast also allows you to concentrate more clearly at work and school leading to a more productive and satisfying day.
Many people think that not only skipping breakfast is a good idea, but people also think that they do not have the time for a proper nutritional breakfast. Working or running behind might give one an excuse to not have to eat or make breakfast, but think and plan ahead the night before and your body will thank you later.

There are more reasons than just boosting your metabolism, to encourage you to eat breakfast. Eating breakfast will help you avoid wanting to snack midmorning. Mid-morning snacks will only go to your waistline which I am sure you are wanting to trim down instead of bulk up. If you are still doubting the idea of eating breakfast for whatever reason, maybe because you never have enough time in the morning, think of this. Set your alarm clock 15 minutes earlier than you normally would. This will allow you just enough time to get the proper nutrition in to start the day off on the right foot. This does not mean that you drive to a fast food restaurant and order off the menu and think that this will help boost your metabolism. You must think smart and in doing so, you will continue to watch your calories.
