Re: Hi...New and Need Motivation!

Since you are worried about not getting enough calories, maybe you should just try and clean up you diet for now. I don't know how "dirty" it is, but for example, replace cookies with fruit or potato chips with peanuts. I think that sometimes changing the kind of calories you eat can resul...

Bad Food is addicting.

As health freaks maybe its common knowledge that sugar and fat are addictive. I thought this was a myth but I found out through experience how true it is. Ok so this is how it happened. I had a super clean diet and I never even thought about cookies or cake or any of those things because I had been ...

Re: Why do I lose fat from the wrong place!

I have been thin almost whole life and flat chested almost whole life. Next time your freaking out about becoming a size B, think of me. Hi, I'm Jill from Mass and I have a AAA chest. But I'm in pretty damn good shape. When I was about 10 years ago, that was the only time I had cleavage. Pick your p...

Re: new weight !

I think full body is the way to go. I used to do splits and I have no desire to go back. I started doing full body at the beginning of the spring and I'm not even close to bored. I mix it up in so many different ways. HR is faster during the full body than when I did splits so heart gets more exerci...

parents, they don't understand...

They don't know what it takes to lose weight and keep it off. I know its not easy for everyone, its hard for most people. But Dad and Step-Mom wont even listen to me. They think I'm nuts. They rolled their eyes at me once because I wouldn't eat something that contained 7 grams of Transfat (Oh god!) ...

When I get sore in a particular area, for example, shoulders. I will skip working shoulders the next time I work out. I do the full-body routine. It helps the soreness go away for me.

Re: Time Off From Lifting - Concerns

You've been lifting regularly for 10 months. Its ok to take time off, you deserve it. Its actually good to take a week or two off once in a while. When you do get back into lifting after your vacation, you might find that you gain more strength in the gym because you gave your body a nice long rest.

There are tons of examples of ab workouts on the shapfit website. They even show how to do them properly. I prefer doing abs on a body ball if you have one. They're not too pricey. I find abs on a body ball to be very effective and comfy :)

why do you change your routine as you get older? I have found that as I got older I could still train hard but it took longer to recover from the workouts. I suspect that is a result of a lower testosterone level as I age. By adjusting recovery times I was able to keep heavy benches within 20 pound...
