Re: NSAID's + Cutting

To Les - Yes Naproxen is Aleve just usually comes in higher doses. Im taking 500mg Naproxen (which is kind of a lower dose) and I believe Aleve comes in 200mg, but normally Aleve you take 2 pills versus Naproxens 1 so it comes out to 500mg to 400mg which isn't a big difference. To BossMan - Yea doct...

Re: Cutting Phase + Injury?

Thank you for the response Swanso. I gave it about a weeks rest and when I went to lift today I started off with warmup weight and had no pain....so I bumped a little and had no pain so I kept it there. The weight I used was about 80% of max weight. It feels okay and the rest did it good, and im goi...

All is going well for those two goals but i recently got sick and was out for over a week and didnt get to lift at all. I missed 3 sessions which...

Re: Trouble hitting Lats =(

Thanks for the input. I do a full body routine and lat pulldowns are in todays routine. Im going to try to lighten the weight a bit and use a 2 sec isometric hold and see if that helps. Maybe lats are just underdeveloped and need a little extra attention. I'll post tomorrow and let you know how it g...

Trouble hitting Lats =(

So as the title says im having a bit of difficulty hitting lats. I try all types of exercises like db rows, lat pulldowns, pullups with varied grips.... I always seem to just fatigue shoulders. Im thinking this may be happening because back in December I had a shoulder impingement/delt tear and its ...

Incline DB press Question

So im recovering from a shoulder impingement from about 6-7 months ago. It's been a slow recovery but time and effort has been worth it, and I can now lift heavy for nearly every muscle except shoulders which are at about 80% working capacity. question is I heard that if incline press at a 45 degree...

I cycled 6 months of p90x so that would be doing the program twice. It worked pretty well for me. I lost about 55 pounds in that time frame but after I switched over to a split routine to start adding some size back. Good luck to you and hope your having fun because it really is a blast!

Hmm...i've had delayed reactions to muscle soreness after workouts but what your describing "knife in the back" almost sounds like you have SHARP pain? If thats the case it sounds like an injury...did you catch yourself lifting anything heavy improperly during your last workout? You may ha...

You work on it everyday? Might not be seeing great results because you are training your muscles to frequently (over training). Take a break let your muscles recover and then try your routine 2-3 times a week. Remember your muscles don't get stronger at the gym they do when they are given time to re...

I agree with ketchup take some time off and go see a doctor if it continues to bother you. Shoulder injuries aren't to be taken lightly. I suffered a shoulder impingement and a delt tear 6 months ago and im still healing from it, because I was stubborn and continued to lift on it while I was having ...
