One more thing to consider...sit-ups predominately work your hip flexors. Crunches for example are a far more effective exercise in hitting your abs. Remember to consider other muscle groups when working your mid-section (core). Never neglect your obliques (sides) lower abs, and back. If you neglect...

Creatine is commonly used for those who want to build size (i.e. bodybuilding) but there have been studies suggesting it greatly benefits sport also. If you want to build mass or strength or improve your performance in sport(s) creatine may help your goals. Remember however, you should only take it ...

Its probably best to keep cardio (i.e. long or intense efforts) and weight lifting separate if you can. If however, you do decide to do both on the same day you should do weight training first. The prime reason for this is simply because you will need to be fully alert while working under such a hig...

Running is probably the best form of low intensity cardio but make sure you do it at a worthwhile pace. It is best to run outdoors as the turf and incline will vary. If however you decide to use the treadmill, you can put it on an incline. I still think you should incorporate other forms of cardio e...

I don't think it is wise to run everyday. Your legs (like all other muscles) need to recover after any activity you place upon them. Interval training in particular, will require rest days as you will have broke down alot of muscle fibres. Try and add variety if you wish to run as much as possible. ...

Absolutely. All types of fish tend to be great sources of protein. Tuna is a fantastic source of protein even though it is canned. It also provides essential fats (omega 3). The fact that you bought the product in water makes it all the more healthier than if you bought it in sunflower oil. Just don...

Doing interval training over 20 minutes is easily enough. 60 seconds running hard is tough at first so it's probably best to start at around 30 seconds running hard (or whatever you can do) and then partake in 60 seconds of jogging. During the course of doing this type of exercise 3 times per week y...

Wicker, If your on a limited budget and don't want to pay ridiculous gym membership fees you should invest in a pair of dumb-bells. You can hit every muscle group with this piece of equipment and what's more they are far more effective than any machine available. To find out what exercises you can d...

The best type of cardio training for losing fat and torching calories is interval training 2-3 times per week. The fact you love running makes this a perfect activity for you also. You can still go on long runs but interval training will yield the best results. However, I think you should also consi...

The best way to lose body fat is to take part in high intensity activity. Playing sport(s) is a great way to do this but you can also do interval training. So for example you should run hard for say 30-60 seconds and then jog at an easy pace for around 60 seconds. Do this for around 20 minutes. Due ...

Could possibly be the way/methods they train as opposed to you. The training stimulus for building strength is to stay in the 6-8 or even 4rep category whereas to build muscle you are encouraged to stay in the 8-10rep category. Theres no way I can possibly answer the question fully accurately unless...

The best butt exercises are squats (to see how to perform them correctly check out the exercise guides on this site). It's also a full body exercise which will tone the whole of your body but in particular your lower half. Perform the exercise using your bodyweight only first before progressing to w...
