[quote="nikban"]As a follow up to this, I've heard (to much disbelief) that there are actually exercises you can do that can make you taller, not drastically but maybe an inch or so. I would LOVE to be about an inch and a half taller (goal is to be 5'6- minimum model height).... any sugges...

I'd recommend Bruce Lee's "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" for any experienced marial artists out there. It's a very good book that can teach you how to effectively use all of that muscle. It's not for the beginer. Definately compulsary for any mixed martial artist.

I would suggest trying some kind of martial art that involves punching. Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kung-Fu, kick-boxing, boxing, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, Hapkido, Silat, Qi-gong... The many different styles and focuses of each different martial art are myriad. I suggest that you find a gym where you like the ...

No jokes about mum thanks, we all can safely imagine the most derisive wit possible within the confines of our own minds. I'm going to get her some flowers. G'day, feel like having a squiz at diet?

Hey ladies and gents, I'm still around, I've just been reading a lot. :) I was wondering if you could tell me something about dietary intake. I think I've got it sussed out pretty well. I live with parents, so diet can change from day to day. This is because we run out of certain types of food that ...

I've just been reading up on the toxicity levels of the vitamins we've covered and it appears when I add up whats in the multivitamins and the sustagen that I'm only getting 25% of the RDI in each of them. So no real worries there as diet is great and I take these as an extra defence for immune syst...

mother uses a fairly generic moistureiser forulated for hands and nails. Her finger nails where fairly brittle at one point and it seems to have helped. She only applys it before sleep. As for nails, the only trouble I've ever had is when I've hit them too hard or something equally silly like that....

Vitamins, Minerals and other body supplements

I was just wondering how many people here get their nutrition from other sources then the food in the meals they eat. What kind of supplements they use and how often and why. Any information you feel happy enough to divulge would be apreciated. I merely ask out of curiosity. Myself, I take three 100...

A couple of months ago I made the mistake of running the dog along the beach in the middle of the night. Now, I wasn't actually in the sand, there is a park like area of grass and tress planted above the high tide line and it was here that I was running. Unfortunately, as I was going along at full p...

Well, I *used* to be a very active member of South Pacific Tae Kwon Do. One of the things that is important for increasing your stamina is cardiovascular exercises and increasing your lung capacity. If you are smoking - anything - stop it now. I would suggest trying to increase the amount of laps yo...

SarahPT, you seem to be really experienced in this department. I'm also going to assume that the "PT" stands for personal trainer (SarahPT: "Well, duh!") :P:) hehe, anyway, I'm wondering if you could provide information, or leave a link to a site with information regarding low ca...
