Re: Help getting run times down for basic training

I'll keep that in mind. I usually stick to the treadmill because its pretty cold outside now, but I do run outside occasionally and I'll definitely try that method out. I'll also see what feels right for running. I'll see how I feel after the 3rd day (or how I feel on the 4th day), and decide if run...

Re: Help getting run times down for basic training

I'm sorry for double posting, but I have one more quick question.

Is it best to run every other day? Or should I try and run every day? 6 days a week? Whats the best way?

I know in boot camp I'll be working out 6 days a week, so should I try and do that?

Re: Help getting run times down for basic training

That was first timed workout for the 1.5 mile distance. I've done a few runs (5 or 6) over the past couple weeks, but before that I haven't really done much. I've been starting to realize how close I am and I've been getting into gear lately, really trying to go every other day. I will try what you ...

Basic Workout Plan for Boot Camp

plan is pretty basic right now: I switch off every other day between cardio and pushups/situps/pull ups. I'm trying to increase all of those areas because I'll be tested on them in basic and I want to make sure I hit numbers. Is there any other exercises I should be adding into the mix? And is that...

Help getting run times down for basic training

I leave for Basic Training in just over a month. I'm getting close on fitness goals but I'm not 100% there yet. goal (and requirement) is to run 1.5 miles in 11:57. Today, I ran that distance in 13:46, so I have to drop almost two minutes off time. Is there any advice to do this? How often should I ...

Re: Heading to boot camp soon in the next few months...

Fluff is Marshmallow Fluff. Basically melted down Marshmallows. Nothing good for you. I'm switching sandwiches to a Turkey/Ham and Mayo/Mustard Combinations though. With a slice of cheese, not that it really matters. I'm trying to perfect diet on a budget, there is just so much information to grasp ...

Heading to boot camp soon in the next few months...

I would like to know a good diet plan for me? I am pretty skinny, around 6% . I work in a pretty physical warehouse job requiring constant speed-walking for about 10 hours of day. After that I hit the gym for a short cardio session, and then P90X. I typically eat PB&J or PB and Fluff Sandwiches ...

Re: How about eggs!

So what is an ok amount of eggs? There are days when I will eat 4 regular sized eggs in breakfast, and I do this probably three times a week. Is that to many?
