Another tough push-up not mentioned is the push-up jack. Hands remain in the same position as a regular push-up but your feet jump in and out----when your feet are out is when you go down----when your feet come together you are at the top of the push-up. It is a great alternative!! :lol:

I always start with a 10 minute warm-up, then I do a 4 minute stretch, and at the end of the workout I stretch for another 5 minutes. It is very important! I never used to like to stretch when I was younger----but I am telling you it makes a difference!!

old trainer said she always had one piece of dark chocolate per day. I do the same...though sometimes I have two, sometimes none. Dark chocolate is pretty good for you and has lots of antioxidants, so it's at least got that going for it...plus it's got less sugar and curbs chocolate cravings becaus...

Don't let age hinder any of your goals. I know you can do it. I am going to get pics on here soon, I was having issues downloading. I am currently doing the insanity program-it is very intense!!!! But I love it because it makes me feel! And every week it gets a little easier. Anyone can do anything ...

I actually do cardio first thing when I wake up before eating. I drink a glass of water or juice prior to 10 minute warm-up, then do 20-30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio. This way your body starts revving up first thing and burning fat. Then in the afternoon I will do weighttraining. I get tre...

U don't have to go to a gym to get a great workout! For upper body u can do regular or triangular pushups--these will hit chest, shoulders, and triceps--!s well as stabilizing the core. There are also push-up jacks---start with feet together up on your hands and when u go down into a pushup your fee...

Insane and Intense Workout!

I just turned 36 years old and felt the need to challenge body like I never have before, and boy is it working. This workout does not entail the use of any equipment--just your body. It begins with a 10 minute warm-up of jogging in place, jumping jacks, butt kicks, front kicks, then a light stretch....

I competed in the Ohio NPC shows. One show back in 2003 in Lakewood, and most recent one was May 2010 in Toledo--the Julie Palmer show. I competed in the tall and master's division. I wouldn't stop drinking the coffee cold turkey because this could lead to headaches and extreme tiredness. I would start by cutting back slowly so your body can adjust. As for your meals, I would suggest eating 4 small meals and space them so one of them hits right about 2pm to avoid the extreme hu...

It is normal to have weak moments. Just don't beat yourself up over it. Get back on track the next meal. It is winter and depression from lack of sunlight doesn't help with motivation. Keep up the good work!
