Re: Why am I not losing weight?
Wow, thanks again! You really are the boss man :p Are you a nutrionist or fitness instructor? I am eating today as you suggested above. It's going fine except that I feel like I've been eating constantly today! I have put foods so far today into the calendar and am already up to almost 700 calories ...

Thanks, I'm gonna give it a go
I've never seen flaxseed in powder form, does it have more or less benefits than the oil version?

Re: Why am I not losing weight?
Thanks for the tips everyone! I'll try splitting breakfast up like BossMan says. With the Flaxseed Oil, I eat it cold, I usually mix it into the soya yogurt, I keep it in the fridge but you're right, it doesn't have a very long shelf life so I tend to buy small amounts and make sure I eat them quick...

Re: Why am I not losing weight?
Hi BossMan, Yes, of course I'd like you to stick around! You've been a tremendous help to me already answering every post I've written so far! I just really don't know what to do anymore and after weeks in the gym, cutting out rubbish etc. it's annoying to have only lost 1kg - especially when BMI is...

Re: Why am I not losing weight?
According to the stats on this site, I need to eat 1'700 calories to maintain current weight - which obviously I don't want to do as I am technically obese. To reach target weight (which is still in the BMI "overweight" category so not even a healthy weight for me), they recommend 1'200 ca...

Re: Why am I not losing weight?
P.S. I am still eating very healthily - lots of fruit and veggies, don't eat meat anyway and have cut out alcohol/biscuits/crisps/chocolate and all the other rubbish

Why am I not losing weight?
Hi all, I have been going to the gym around 4-5 times a week for the last 5 weeks and have drastically reduced calorie intake. I have started filling in the calender according to food intake and I seem to be below the 1'200 that is said to be recommended for me to lose weight. I have lost about 1kg ...

Rest days
Are they a good idea or not and if so, why? What are the benefits of having a rest day? I'm currently going to the gym 4-5 times a week for 1h30-2hrs a time. Didn't go yesterday after a heated debate with partner who told me I was better off resting muscles for a day or maybe even two before startin...

Re: Exercise bike question
I try to do that every other time but because of the pins and needles issue, I feel like I have to split it all up. To be honest, I almost prefer splitting it but do know that 40-45 mins on the bike in one go is a good thing to do. Unfortunately, I'm not yet fit enough to do 20 minutes running or st...

Exercise bike question
Hi all, I am new to the forum and also new to the gym - well, this time around! I've been going to the gym on and off for the last 20 years but started properly again about a month ago. I have a question concerning the cardio I do on the exercise bike... I tend to do 10-12 minutes, then weights, the...
