Glad to meet you too? Have you thought much about what kind of strength training you want to do? I recommend starting with free weights – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weight_tr ... t_machines. It's been a while since I've started but it served me very well.

I think your biggest goals need to around controlling quantity of food (i.e. calorie intake) and mixing in whatever amount of exercise you both enjoy and can handle regularly.
