Thyroid issues?
So I've been fairly active most of life. At least...I'd like to think so. Trouble is as I push towards 50, things aren't working quite so well. Which is to be expected, but I'm starting to think there might be something else at play here. I eat pretty well, exercise daily, don't drink too much of ye...

Re: One Punch Man
As a One Punch Man fan I love the idea. I'd be half tempted to give this a go myself if I hadn't just done ankle in. Maybe another time! Will be living vicariously through you for the time being, I think. Keep us updated!

Re: how to tone stomach
Thirding the diet thing. stomach was probably the most stubborn of all when I started the gym, and seemed to be pretty set on standing up to pretty much anything I threw at it. I'd been doing pretty ok in terms of diet, but the odd cheat meal here or there was actually throwing me right off and pret...

+1 to Dmart's tips - some great common sense actions in that list that have definitely helped me over the years.

Re: Protein shakes
A little late to this one, but I wanted to...whey in with own $0.2c here! I'm a big fan of PSWhey. None of the unnecessary ingredients or partial proteins that most of the other brands pack their products full of. I've been using it for 6+ months now and love it / never had an issue. Highly recommend.

Re: pre-workout snacks?
I've been having to wrestle with this question recently after a few workouts sans snack didn't go well. Hello, dizziness. I've pretty much landed on MarthaB's suggestion, which is a protein / nut bar. They give me a nice pre-workout boost while not being too much food that it affects workout. +1 to ...

A quick hello
Hey team! Long time lurker, first time poster. As most tend to be... I'm also a long time fitness lurker, so to speak. I've dabbled a little here and there, mainly with the odd sports team or some indoor running. But this year and, more specifically, the last few months, is the first time I've genui...
