Re: Disadvantages of Uphill Running?

I do a lot of uphill running and steep hiking. One thing I've noticed is that I need to be mindful of stretching more than others. I am no longer as good at heel striking as others simply because I spend so much time on forefoot.

Re: Keeping active at your desk

I actually just set up a standing desk in home office now so I can stand while I work. It's made a huge difference to how awake I am during the day.

In general however, it's possible that your overall calories have dropped due to your sickness/time feeling unwell. As you begin to train it's most likely that your a...

Re: Muscle stress without movement

Yes, I used to use this a lot while travelling.

Do a search for "isometric exercises". A friend put me onto them - they have been used by soldiers for hundreds of years and can still help you to grow.

Re: Is strength training important for a 5K

If declines are a concern Caters have you tried wall sits? friend had a ton of trouble with declines in the past, with a lot of weakness around the knees. She commit to 15 minutes of wall sits daily and it sorted her out in about a month. You don't need to lift weights to build the strength needed f...

Re: Side Effect of Yoga exercise.

I'm yet to meet a doctor who would be able to help you in regards to yoga and avoiding yoga-related injuries. This reads like an infomercial to me.
