Im in good shape and have hardly any visible fat on me (six pack and all) , but stomach sticks out a little bit like a small beer gut :( I run anywhere from 3 to 6 miles 3 days a week for ROTC and i lift every day in between. switch between low and high rep weights on the lat pulldown machine or find a pull-up assist machine. you could also find someone to spot you on the last few reps on a pull-up bar by having them hold your feet

If you to gain lean muscle you need to manage your diet. What does it look like now? also, i would switch out some of your exercises: instead of db flys try incline db press or db shoulder press dips for skull crushers or cable pushdowns db shrugs for reverse fly if you can do any pull-ups do revers...

ive been working out bodybuilding style for 2 years. getting king of bored with it...
whats a good swim/ weight routine?
im thinking four days swimming, two days full body workout, run 1-1/2 mile every morning.

I found a pretty good routine on bodybuilding.com and a week in its so far so good. i'll be sure to add in a heavy set for compound exercises.

So, I love vegetables (and i mean all vegetables) but I have been avoiding some (like corn, carrots, and sweet peas) because of their higher levels of simple sugars and relatively low fiber. hmm. do you suggest doing the same exercises each weight day or mix them up?
for instance:
monday: flat bench press
Wednesday: incline bench press
friday: decline bench press

most exercises have about 6 - 8 reps, abs every day (but i dont always do them), rest for about 1 1/2 min - 2 minutes between sets (not including abs).
