Actually 1. I'm not an expert, never set stall out like that. 2. Said advice I have never given. Others might I haven't. That's not to say I wouldn't say something like that, I just never have. Just saying that, so involvement here is not misinterpreted. I'm sorry. I didn't know you would take it t...

As Swanso, Boss Man, Sarah, and the other experts here will tell you, the keys to abs are: Squats Deadlifts Sprints Plyometrics Diet ...rather than the 2373195 crunches and situps that people think will give them good abs. Diet is definitely the single most important thing though so make that a prio...

Today I counted calories and protein intake since I'd never done so before, and wanted to make sure numbers were good. So over the course of the day I consumed about 2200 calories, including about 185 grams of protein. I know naturally different bodies will respond in different ways, but as a 17 yea...

Another things is, you already know when you woke up the morning exectly (or almost) what your gonna eat and what's your today workout, so stick with that and control yourself. Exactly. I already know what I'm going to eat because it's planned in advance, and nothing's going to change that, so I kn...

Great, thanks for the reply, a lot more makes sense now. So about other calcium sources aside from milk...at what times in the day I get calcium (in other words, what meals should these calcium sources be added to)? Does it matter? Just out of curiosity, Boss Man, since you know this much about food...

After browsing around the boards and reading various sites over the past few weeks I learned some stuff and started planning diet. So here's what I ate today, tell me what you think and I'd appreciate any suggestions. 9:00 am (Right when I woke up) - Apple, bowl of Raisin Bran with skim milk, glass ...

In case you didn't see it I asked a similar question a few days ago after buying a whey protein powder only to find it tasted awful. After I drank it I honestly was worried I would vomit. So I posted this topic and got some helpful replies that may help you as well: http://shapefit.com/forum/viewtop...

I didn't want to try milk because as Boss Man just confirmed about it being worse, so today I used about 1 cup of water rather than yesterday's 1/2 cup and it was fine. A lot less thick and although the taste was still bad, it wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday so it was certainly tolerable. So unles...

Milk. Frankly it says any beverage, but that's crap. Well probably could work, but any beverage? Whoever mixed Protein Powder with Beer or Whiskey or Wine? okay a bit far fetched, but I wouldn't evwen be tempted to mix it with Juice, so I'd say Milk if Water doesn't work. Alright thanks, sounds goo...

The taste of whey protein
Today I bought a 900g container of vanilla flavoured whey protein and after training I tried it for the first time. It says to mix a scoop (31g) with 120ml of any beverage. I read that water is the best for mixing with the powder so I did it but the taste was awful and to avoid throwing up I had to ...

Looking to start a workout program
So I'm almost 18 years old, 5'8", about 125 lbs. I reached puberty late and am still growing (thought I'd mention that in case it impacts how I should work out). I'm athletic play lots of sports and run regularly. Although I feel good physically, I'm skinny and weak and would like to put the ti...
