Your Base Metabolic Rate if I remember correctly, is the minimum amount of calories you need to consume daily, to keep your Metabolism healthy. I'm not exactly sure how your Metabolism might be affected, by too low a calorie intake, but it could hinder Fat loss, as I think the body will try to retai...

This is just me, but I don't think you need to exceed 20% on a Fats ratio. If you're calculating a Protein / Carb / Fat P/C/F ratio you could possibly try one like 40/40/20, or add a few more Carbs and go with 35/45/20, or a little less Fats and more Carb, and go with 40/45/15, as examples. Bearing ...

Yeah well that's because in a lot of cases, peoples results are not tied down to one specific training plan, peoples bodies respond differently. The advice given to you by Swanso, will work I'm in no doubt, as he knows his stuff, and although other people you know personally might give different, bu...

Fat Burner Question

I'm not actually asking about Fat Burners, I personally have very little tolerance of such products, and this comment, may seem a little unusual, but for those of you out there, who are thinking about possibly using one, ask yourself two simple questions. 1. What percentage fat, or amount of fat wei...

I don't run particularly, but I'd like to just add, if someone finds running solitary, they could try running with some sort of music device. They may though if they do that, try avoiding busy roads, and use things like Treadmills, parks, back streets, or common land like woods, heathland etc etc, i...

I just checked and found out he's 14. If I'd known, I wouldn't have responded in the way I did.

If that's any fault of mine, I'll take full responsiblity for that mistake

Though I'd Introduce Myself Kind Of

Well as some of you will know now, I'm Boss man. I will admit to having no recognised certification, regards weight training, Cardio, or Diet matters, though over the past 7.5 years, I've listened to others, done some research on this and that, for own needs, or other peoples, and I've got own exper...

Well White Bread is processed, but something like Wheatbread is a decent source of Carbs I believe, never had it. If you're going to have those food sources, then keep Meat Cuts lean, if you're concerned about fat increases, or you're someone who stores fat quite easily, as some cuts of meat are fat...

Right I see. In that case no worries on the swimming and walking, just be sure not to do each for too long. Gvie yourself enough recovery time for the morrow. As for the fats, you probably do a get a little "good fats" from somewhere, like possibly Cereals, Fish sources and other foods, bu...

Been there bought the T-shirt. Not trying to steer the discussion onto one point, but there was also reports ...

I saw a programme once with a training Russian gymnast, who was a 9 year old boy, and had a partially visable 6-pac, not just low bf%, but he looked like he had a dinky little 6-pac.

I never would have thought that of Russians, but I know they train their gymnasts, like balls to the wall hard

It is a debatable point. I've heard some say know, some say 5g's only after workouts, with no loading. viewpoint would be, don't use it until you've developed a good natural muscle base. I used it once, and got poor results, but when you've been training for about 12-18 months, and not developed eno...
