Diet and workout

Post by martialartist »

Hi it's me again with more questions-
I would like to grow 3-4 more inches and gain about 40 pounds by the time I'm done growing.
How would I go about making this happen (i.e. What should I be eating and how much? How much sleep should I get? How much should I work out and how? etc)
Thanks in advance.

3-4" depends on your genetics. 40lb's, same thing again. As long as you have a good Protein / Carb rich diet, and avoid lots of crap, you should be able to assist your growth, and not have alot of your resulting mass incresases being Fat.

Well, I'm 5'7" right now, dad is 5'9"- I'd like to be 5'10".
I'm specifically worried about doing stuff that will prevent me from growing taller. For example, I just got a 100 lb heavy bag- is it okay to use that without worrying about stunting growth. (There is another tool which is a wooden post, which growing people shouldn't strike because it damages the growth plate or something like that) I think since the heavy bag moves, it's more suitable.
