So maintenance calories is 2700 I'm 6'1 185 lbs so in order to lose wight I gotta eat 2700 calories a day and excercise off 500 calories a day also right? So can I eat anything to get to the 2700 calories I don't get it. Or do I have it all wrong

Personally I wouldn't treat the situation as a 2,700 calorie free for all, but it will depend on what you're currently doing.
