Newbie- Needs Help

Hi,

I am not sure which part of the site i need to post this in but i hope someone can help me.

I have lost 2st 1lb in the last 8 months, I have got into hillwalking and i go to the gym (mainly treadmill work)

I have hit a plateau and i am struggling to keep the motivation going. I need to lose another 3 and 1/2 stone but i have no clue where to go from here.

Money is difficult right now so although i have a friend who is a PT she's friend because i used to have her as PT and we built a friendship from that ( we go out etc)

Basically i dont know what i need to do to shift this excess weight and its really starting to get me down, If i could find someone who needed a guinea pig for a working out plan to show how good they are then i'd jump at the chance but im not that lucky.

Any help would be great

Hi Jane, good to talk to you.

The issue may be diet right now, so what times do you eat at and what foods do you eat at those times?

Hi,
Great to talk to you, normal routine is :-

Up at 7am, normally 2 slices of toast and marg or 2 crumpets and marg

Lunch is 12 which i've been having a slimming meal (prepacked from aldi) and Microwave rice

Dinner is about 6-7.30 which is normally mashed potaoto, veg and pie, fish & chips, Chill & Rice, Curry and Rice, Stew
(not all at once :bugeyes: :bugeyes: )

i have the odd ice cream cornetto maybe once a week
If i drink its at a weekend and its lager anywhere between 1 and 4 cans

This kind of system might work for you. It's something I've posted before.

Breakfast

Option 1.

Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk)

Option 2.

Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and Grapenuts).


Snack

Option 1.

Portion of Turkey + Orange

Option 2.

Small Portion of Peanuts, some Chicken


Lunch

Option 1.

Large Beef Sandwich with trimmings, I.E. Tomato, Lettuce, Cucumber etc.

Option 2.

Bowl of Chicken Soup, + Pot of yoghurt.


Snack

Option 1.

Turkey + Cashews

Option 2.

Ham + 2 large Tomatos


Dinner

Option 1.

Pork with mashed Potato.

Option 2.

Chicken and Rice

Option 3.

100g Halibut + Broccoli


Snack

Option 1.

Beans on Toast

Option 2.

Ham Sandwich, no trimmings.

Easy on the bread with both options.

You could add a few things to certain meals, like Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, Parsley, Mustard, Herbs, Garlic.
