Hey, Sweat Sisters,

I woke up migrainey this morning, and needed two doses of sumatriptan AND a 3 hr nap to feel normal again, so workout for today was just a 20 min. online combo of cardio and light weights this evening.

Good workout for you today, I see, Sue!

Wow, lots of walking and some strength for you, Bama--great job! Is that your PT Cruiser in the shop? Hope it wasn't anything major. We have been missing you, but I know it's harder to find time when you are with your family.

Sometimes when I'm stressed, nothing helps as much as exercise, Chris, but other times, it just feels like too much. You'll get back on track, I'm sure. But if you can't post unless you workout, you'd better get moving! :D

Yup, I don't mind being damp, Boss Man--in the old days when I used to run a lot, I used to love when it would start raining halfway into a summer run. Pure exhilaration! We could probably just combine the WOW and Sweat Sisters, by inviting YAH to join us here. Originally it was set up for this to be a space to discuss our workouts, and the other to just shoot the breeze, but. . . then only one person joined us on WOW that doesn't post here, instead of the 3 or 4 that we expected.

Sweet dreams, everyone~

Gooooood Moooorrrrnnning!!
Well threat to myself of not contacting to workout partners worked again. Actually last night I felt the best I have in some time. So I did Designing delts workout. The exercises were Arnold press (2x7lb, 15 rep, 4sets), upright row (2x5lb, 15 rep, 4sets),
lateral raise (2x3lb, 15 rep, 4sets), front raise (2x3lb, 15 rep, 4sets), straight arm pull back (2x3lb, 15 rep, 2sets), and reverse fly (2x3lb, 15 rep, 2sets). elbow was really feeling the holding of the 3lb weight with full arm extension. I was careful not to lock the elbow and keep it soft. After that I did a set of moves for elbow and kept stretching it out. It feels fine so far today. :thumb:
Sorry about the migraine FitMo! Great workout for you. Unfortunately I am one of those who curls up in a ball and sleeps under stress. I should push myself more to exercise during those times.
Thanks for the wet noodle Sue! Great workout for you tonight!
Glad to see you are getting your workouts in Bama! Great job!

Good Morning Sisters,

Chris you don't need to exercise to post here you know . We like to hear from you no matter what . Glad you are taking it easy and doing the exercises for your elbow.

Yes, Mo it was Woody that was in shop . Oil Change and need front brakes . Nothing serious at least.

Morning Sue, I am trying to get back on Schedule on posting .

Nothing real exciting here . We bought a couple of Rubber Made cabinets for our garage and DH put them together which was very easy to do they just snap together . This Kitchen is much smaller than the one in Bama. Have had people look at the but no offers as of yet . Hope soon as I am tired of being to me in Limbo . Can't do much here and don't want to do anything there.

It has been cold here the last couple of days. Had to put the heat back on but warming up for the weekend.

Town's garage sale is next week end so DD and will be spending some time with us.

Mo, I agree that we should invite Yah to join us here . I don't always have time to jump over to WOW and it is getting to where the posts are very similar . Yes, We started out by just posting our workouts on Sisters but it soon developed in to more. Which is fine with me.
Wow is not very active on Facebook not like we were on Prevention .

We have a little over two more weeks here and then we will be heading back to Bama until September .

Mornings Workout was 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength . I have been doing good on workouts . Been getting in at least 4/5 miles a day . and a couple of walks during the afternoon. So that is a real plus for me .

I found an Urban Rebounder at the GW. Still in the unopened box with handles , bands and a couple of DVDs. Came from HSN. Haven't use it yet but I did get it set up. DH says I will probably fall off and break a leg (lol) Oh and the great thing was it was only 12.99 Yes only 12.99 I couldn't pass it up. Chloe wants it so it will be used by someone .

Well I need to shut down for a while . Ethel is finished

Trying to stay caught up but as you know I am busier here then in Bama . It has been cold here in Ohio but starting to warm up again today.

Yeeeesss!!!
30 minute walk at lunch time! Felt great to get a walk in.

I am out tomorrow gals. plan is to do a legs workout tonight. Squats, lunges, sumo squats, deadlift, and calf raises with no weights (maybe just 2x3lbs on deadlifts). Should be 15-30 reps and 3-4 sets.

Good luck shopping Sue and the arm work!

Great workout Bama!!

Good luck with your shopping trip and evening workout, Sue!

You've been doing great, Bama. And I'm sure you'll have big (safe!) fun with your rebounder. I saw a used one on Craigslist for $50, but it was too far away. So you got a killer deal on your new one.

Fabulous workout last night, Chris! Yay on the walk, and tonight's plan!

I reserved a spot in the 6 pm Hot Vinyasa Flow class, so that will be exercise for today, along with pulling weeds, which I am heading out to do shortly. Looks like the rain is done for a while.

Have a great day, Sweat Sisters~

Hi, I'm here:) Probably do just this one then hey? I got through work, leg is achy a bit. One N.A. said it looks like a lump of something in back of that leg:) Must be vein trouble or at least it would be normal to be right? But if I would have got a pic of it when I went to Walk in clinic, I would know. If they could zap them all out, probably feel good but I suppose you have to go through a Dr. to get to a vein Dr.:( I'll have to look into it all and you usually don't get to see Dr's too quick either. Quite a few days I could sign up for now in June but not sure of it since of this leg:( Well I don't exercise exactly for this site but I guess work is lots of it:) 7 hrs. of walking, folding and pulling carts and filling up linen closets should account for something right? I just wish I could walk and walk for exercise outside of that.
Just going to say HI and hope you all have a very nice day since I'm not sure of day yet. You'd think after being up for 28 hrs. I could have slept all night but nope. Only about 4 hrs. and then up and couldn't fall asleep so was outside at 5:30 finally just enjoying the robins' etc. and then went to try to sleep some more in bits. Wish I was more normal with the sleep stuff  Will check later or tomorrow as I was going to go town but not sure now. Did stop at son's after work last night also. He was home earlier also otherwise I might have crawled in his camper to try for a nap and if I slept, I would have been woke up later if they were both working later. Happy shopping also Sue! :coffee:

Yay--glad to see you made it here, YAH! And yes, your work counts! We do more than just post our workouts, so it will be easier all around if we just merge the two threads over here, I think. I wonder why your NP at the clinic didn't see the lump? Anyway, that would be good if it's a varicose vein that can be lasered into submission, and hopefully pretty soon. :) I hope you can catch up on some sleep now.

I was going to run to the library and grocery store before yoga class, so I put books, mat, water, etc. in the car about 4:30, and tried to start it up. Nothing. Apparently I didn't shut the hatchback all the way when I went grocery shopping last week; it must have drained the battery. So I came back in and cancelled registration online--hopefullly in time to not get charged for the class, but if not, nothing I can do about it now. I ended up doing a strength training workout instead. Hopefully DH will have time to jump car in the morning before he heads out and I can try again tomorrow. He has to leave pretty early though; he has an 8:30 a.m. appt., so I might have to wait till Friday. Oh, well, adapt and overcome! :D

Hi ladies,

Finished comics and am now off to a blessed nap....at least the faux Nuprin helped back.

Sorry about the migraine this a.m., Molasses. Glad you were able to get a workout in.

Me too Molasses, when I am stressed workouts takes me away from it for a while.

Oh dad and I loved when it rained too, Molasses, we'd go out and stand in it.... mother thought we were nuts...but we were two peas in a pod....LOL

Chris just happy you got some workouts in and feel a bit better.

Bama, Chris is trying to use talking to us an incentive to workout....glad nothing serious on the car. Oh the Rubbermaid cabinets are great we had them in Sacto. I hope soon all is settled with the house in Bama and you can decide what you want to do. Good workout I see and a good find too, at GW.

KUDOS to you Chris. Good luck tonight.

Good luck with the exercise class.

YAH don't worry about exercise, just avoids two threads and as Molasses and Bossman said a lot of repeats.

I am with Molasses you have a very HARD job and do a lot of RLW's there.

Oh no on the car Molasses, HUGS.

Well I am going off line too. Sent an email on Grocery Report and the week so far. So no sense repeating it here.

Good night,

Sue

You just need to post in whatever way feels comfortable for you YAH.

It's always a pleasure to have people like you around and you've been a well respected part of this community for several weeks now and I certainly wouldn't want people like you to feel in any way inhibited and lose some of the enjoyment you get out of being here.

So whatever you want to do is perfectly okay and I hope whatever concerns of any degree in your life right now, sort themselves out as soon as can be. You're very valued and you have been since the first time you touched base here and I just wanted to to let you know that :).

Take care :thumb:

Good Morning all,

Yah, so glad to see you here . This thread was started many years ago as just a place to post our Workouts. As you know many on the old Wow board did not exercise so this one was started for those that did . Since then it kinda turn it to a "everything " thread and so glad that it did and since only a few joined us on here it just will make it a little easier to not have to jump around from one to the other . So don't feel you have to do anything other then what you are doing . Your work and your job is plenty of EXERCISE . I could not do it So that counts for plenty of working out. All that lifting you do. Girl, that's a great workout. Hope you can get your Leg taken care of and really glad that you joined us here.

Work out for me this Morning was 40 minutes of Interval walking .

Garage sales start today so may venture around to see what I can find. Do I need anything , No but it is fun and you get to know your neighbors .

Enjoy your day, Sisters.

Good morning, everyone,

DH had to leave at 7 this morning, and it's a cool day, so once I got him out the door, I suited up and went out to start clearing that darn bramble patch. I worked for a few hours (8 wheelbarrows full of weeds) and then came in for breakfast. I'm hoping to get back out there for a few more hours to see if I can get it all cleared before the heat comes back.

I had originally thought I'd get to the 10 a.m. yoga class, but then I realized that would be wasting the nice weather. So yoga tonight at 6, as long as car starts. (DH jumped it before he left this morning.)

Have fun at the yard sales, Bama!

Have a great day, everyone~

Morning sisters,

On tap for today Evening workout walking/dancing/cardio

I did get exercise in last night, just fewer sets and reps and did skip the abs one that had me using one hand and the move itself is awkward and stresses the abs and back so did some wall push ups instead.

Plus use band for some other arm workouts, instead too.

YAH, I remember when you and I met on the menopause board years back and you and the other introduced me to Dianna, Bama, Molasses and all the others and then I learned about the workout thread but we also had the WOW and so many other ones there too. Plus very often we talked about "other stuff" on the workout thread. So no worries for you here.

Plus I see that Bama, has echoed a lot of what I said too....and like her I couldn't do your job...way too much for me.

Bama, great workout and have fun at the garage sales. I agree, I used to love to just go and look at the stuff and met the neighbors.

Molasses, well I see you have been one busy lady this a.m. Good luck with the rest today and hoping the car starts tonight.

Well I got all dusting done already, hubby and I did our kissie face and good anniversary wishes, plus I sent him a little card, he is busy doing some computer stuff so he'll get it later when he gets back on LOL

Chris, hope your day goes well....

Now off to eat, vacuum....oh I will be so happy when I get a new lighter one.....shower and then do good kitchen counters, top of fridge etc that I normally did Friday night (another great Chuck idea to do it during the day).

Have a good day sisters,

Sue

Afternoon all, Well I did find a couple of knobs for a bedside table I had bought at the GW . It was missing one and these fit perfectly . All of 10 cents. We had looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Mennards and could not find any and certainly not at that price. Also a Cooler on Wheels for DD . They go alot in the summer to different zoos and also to Kings Island so it will come in handy for them . If not I will keep it for myself

Not much else . Have dinner in the oven . Going to have to put the air on again . 2 days ago we had the heat on but that is Ohio's weather. Never know .

Mo, hope your car starts tonight .

Sue , hope you are feeling better also. I see you got a good workout in .

Back in the am .
