Knee in Exercises

Post by bgq »

Hi,

It is usually instructed that the knee shouldn't pass the toe when doing squats. Is this rule applied to other exercises like lunge and deadlift? In other words, is it a problem if the knee passes the toe a little bit during deadlift or lunge?

Hyper-extension of the knee is not advisable when doing weight lifting, as it can be contributory to the possibility of eventual chronic knee complaints / maladies, so basically don't do it.
