Challenge 2018: A More Tone, Filled Out, Yet Still Lean Workout Machine 2018- AUGUST 2018

Did alright with July workouts.....missed Friday July 13 due to having to vacuum, so did get a workout with the vacuum; missed July 20th another Friday having to go get meds at CVS; missed July 25th due to shopping so did get in a LOT of walking; July 27th I was up all night and did not feel very well; July 30th due to no sleep the night before yet again.


On tap for the month of August I will do Mari Winsor's Pink Workout for abs, legs and arms, for weeks two, three and four along with the cool down. For week 5 in August I will do Mari's Windsor Pilates 20 minute workout.

Food goals: Food goals have not changed but remain the same...continue to take vitamin D, and keep up the increase in the fruits and veggies in diet, and try some different type of veggies, which we have been doing well with. Also continue to try out some different recipes, which had we are bound and determined this year to do better with. I will also continue with the getting in chocolate several times a week. PB is no longer an eating option for me. As for desserts we have made a switch and am keeping portion controls as I need to. Our soups mixed with egg noodles are working out great giving up lots of veggies and the sauce is already included; in addition to getting 2 dinners out of a can. Plus tummy likes it too LOL We will continue to have them over other types of noodles, like little farfalle and ditalini pasta too.

We have made up a number of the following ideas for dinners and just adding to our menu. In addition we have a number of ideas for different bases to go over pasta, making casseroles, etc. Plus making calzones, and pastry filled with vegetables and other filling to add to our diet for even more variety. We did a test one and it worked out great.

Trying to continue a variety of foods in our diet. Doing very well getting fish into diet having it on most Friday's and have also been getting it in during the week also. In addition adding diced peppers, potatoes, corn, spinach and other veggies to go with the fish has worked out well too. Still have had to be careful on portions as stomach still rebels on occasion, hence no weight gain in 2018 and slowly increase portion sizes to maybe put some weight on. Some weeks it goes up but then comes right back down again. Wish me luck.

B: Eggo waffle toasted with a little margarine and cinnamon sugar, and a cup of tea and OJ. B: 1 Slice of Oroweat Italian bread toasted with a little margarine and cinnamon sugar, along with a cup of tea and OJ Glass of ice coffee with a little sugar and vanilla creamer; 1 glass of water; 2 Lifesavers; ; AB: Lunch: Chicken of the Sea albacore white tuna (5 oz can, **however down to 3.5 oz by the time I picked all the brown stuff out of it) mixed with lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil with 25 small half slices of Lindsay black olives, diced pepper strips (4 each) of red, green, orange and red, an avocado, and a sprinkle of California onion powder, Oregano, and black pepper on a slice of wheat bread, glass of ice tea; AL: glass of water, 2 Lifesaver candies; Dinner:(2 small) Michelina's manicotti topped with a little crushed red pepper, and 2 teaspoons of Parmesan cheese, with a slice of Oroweat bread toasted with a little Country Crock margarine, and a glass of ice tea; AD - cup of coffee with a little milk; 1 glass of ice tea, 2 butterscotch candies; D: Pepperidge Farms chocolate (2 cookies) ; BT - 1 glass of water

Walk to the office for workout as I was up all night again

B: Eggo waffle toasted with a little margarine and cinnamon sugar, along with a cup of tea and OJ; AB: 1 glass of water and bringing 2 bottles with me on trip; 2 Lifesaver candies, 1 lozenge; Lunch: Chicken of the Sea albacore white tuna (5 oz can, **however down to 3.5 oz by the time I picked all the brown stuff out of it) mixed with lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil with 25 small half slices of Lindsay black olives, diced pepper strips (4 each) of red, green, orange and red, an avocado, and a sprinkle of California onion powder, Oregano, and black pepper on a slice of wheat bread, glass of ice tea; 2 Lifesaver candies; Dinner: Johnsonville Hot Italian sausage (82 gms) cut in half and each half in a Pillsbury crescent roll with a on a slice of Provolone cheese, rolled up and cooked in the oven, 2 crescent rolls on the side one with a sprinkle of Kraft Parmesan Romano cheese and Mozzarella shredded cheese and one plain, glass of ice tea; AD -cup of coffee with a little milk; 1 glass of ice tea, 2 Lifesaver candies; D: Pepperidge Farms Raspberry/chocolate (2 cookies); BT - 1 glass of water

B: Slice of split top white bread toasted with a little Smucker's Strawberry jelly, along with a cup of tea and OJ; AB: Glass of ice coffee with a little sugar and vanilla creamer; 1 glass of water; Lunch: Don't do a regular lunch on Saturday but a handful of popcorn, 25 Pretzel sticks for sodium intake, 10 small Lay's potato chips, glass of ice tea; AL: 1 glass of water; 2 Lifesaver candies; Dinner: 3 eggs scrambled with a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese, and topped with Kraft grated Parmesan/Romano and a thin slice of Swiss cheese broken up, with a cheesy Pillsbury crescent roll and a plain one, glass of ice tea; AD -cup of coffee with a little milk; 1 glass of ice tea, 2 Lifesaver candies; D: No dessert; BT - 1 glass of water

****Woke up feeling terrible and stomach was killing me; so did Mari Winsor's Pink Workout for arms, along with the cool down. Instead of legs.....

AB: Glass of ice coffee with a little sugar and vanilla creamer; 1 glass of water; 2 Lifesavers; Lunch: Had a slice of Provolone on wheat bread toasted due to tummy issues, glass of ice tea; Dinner: (1) slice of Homemade pizza with some shredded Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni with some olive oil, glass of ice tea; AD - cup of Cup of coffee w/a little milk and sugar; 1 glass of ice tea and 1 glass of water, 2 Lifesaver candies; D: Pepperidge Farms Raspberry chocolate (2 cookies) ; BT - 1 glass of water
