WHEY Protein for weight loss
Hi Guys,
weight is 220 pounds and target weight is 176 pounds. I do 45 mins of cardio followed by 1 hr weight training. Now trainer has told me to eat at least 10-12 egg whites in a day (I eat 4/day) and also consome whey protein daily as it will compensate the muscle loss of body. According to him the more proteins you consume, faster you loose fat and build muscles simultaneously. Please advice me about this whey stuff. Is it mandatory or are there other alternatives to it.
Regards,
Hemant

He even suggested me a fat burner from muscletech called HYDROXYCUT but after reviewing this site as I declined his suggestion and included coffee in routine. Also plan to have simple green tea twice or thrice daily. Wont consuming whey increase weight as I am trying to reduce weight. Can muscle building and weight loss go hand in hand.

Hi Boss n Swanso,
I appreciate the concern shown by you. Let me give a more clear picture what the issue is all about. I am 26 years old and 6 ft tall, Its been 2 weeks now since I started working out and I am beginning to feel the results. I weighed 220 lbs and target weight is 176 pounds within next four months. workout as scheduled by the trainer:
20 mins treadmill at 10 km/hr
10 mins resistance cycling
10 mins cross trainer
1 hr weight training including several machines, dumbells and ending the routine with Ab crunches.
diet as planned by him is
4 egg whites with skimmed milk immediately after workout+brown bread slices <2 hrs gap> some sprouts or boiled chickpeas <2 hrs gap> Lunch with two Indian bread made of wheat flour+a bowl of lentils with some salad <2 hrs gap> An apple or a plate of papaya <2 hrs gap>6 egg whites<2 hrs gap> Dinner with two indian bread + a bowl of green vegetables and some salad.
He continuously insists on buying whey and fat burners to get the results faster but I denied fat burners and started taking coffee instead. I do want to go for whey but I am in a dilemma whether whey is really going to help or make me more bulkier. He says that if body doesnt take 200 gms of proteins then I will end up with fat reduction with loose skin left behind and loss of muscles as well. Please advise and you can suggest your own workout or diet plans which would work for guy like me. I must tell you that I need to loose fat fast and also build up six packs and muscles. I mean overall a good muscular beach like physique.
Would be glad to get some suggestions from you.
