Today is as good a day as any - Welcome!! I see you may have partied a little early last night and missed your thread - and posted your Cardio on mine! Lu's Workout Journal...

I'm in second year in getting healthy and fit - started last December in 2008. There a great bucnh of people here to assist you, stand with you - share stories and generally just support one another! While there is a Diet Section and Workout Section - there are a few of us that tend to include a bit of what we eat as well as our daily workouts because it seems no matter how hard or often you work out, your success is extremely contingent on what you put in your mouth - nutrician is soooo important. With that said I haven't lost a lb since July (lost over 40 prior to July) and I'm newly dedicated to eating clean and working out with some results in 2010!

There are lots of folks who really know their stuff and will happily help you! It would help them to help you if you post your current workout plans and an example of your daily diet.

Welcome and Good Luck!!

Thanks ldematto for the welcome. I was looking for a site exactly like this to help me stay motivated. Today was a Cardio and i did resistance band excercises last night since i couldnt hit the gym. But today I feel great and looking forward to next week. I am following the Body for life program and this is the end of week 1. It feels good to have completed one week though and it makes me feel like i can stick to this program. As i get better at this i willl post more on food and and excerises that im doing. Thanks again

A strange kind of system, where you work a bodypart with 5 sets on 1 exercise and a 6th set with another exercise, instead of doing 2 exercises with 3 sets, for example.

Also it's a little restrictive on what types of exercises you can use.

All in all, it's not bad, but is a little limited and probably isn't for everyone.

Sounds like some of those weird fad diets only in exersize form.

It does, but it's a little more sound on it's basis, than one of those stupid diets, where you don't eat any Protein sources for two days, then have a Turkey, Banana and Tomatos day, then a day full of Chicken and Potatos or some such nonsense.

There was sometihng on here posted some time back, about such a diet of type, given to General Motors workers in India. Can't recall where or when, but it should be on the search facility.

Good luck Brodrick :).
