lol, thanks Nokie. No, it's not too soon, to do another 5K. It's just about right. A longer distance race might take more time to recover. I am working hard to bring race time down. Feeling good these days. 8)

I wish gym had a class like R.I.P.P.E.D! They have some decent classes but they are all at times that I am working or times that are really inconvenient to schedule. But that one sounds like one I would go out of way for :D

The other night was the 1st time for it. Hopefully they will continue to have an evening class. The schedule said tues, thurs., at 9:30 a.m. - which of course leaves out anyone that works for a living! So, it was suggested they have an evening class to accomodate us working folk. just don't know when or what was decided yet. Looking forward to continuing it once a week! And Zumba once a week too.

Today's workout:

Beautiful sunrise run - 7.5 miles time: 1 hr. 22 min.
.25 warmup / 7 mile run / .25 cooldown

22 miles for the week - woo hoo!

Long training run for the week. Supposed to be run at least 2 minutes per mile slower than your race pace. So I averaged an 11 minute mile, putting me at a 9 min. race pace mile, which is right where I want to be, right now. I'll get faster as I train longer and more intense. This was really the first week I have had a really good solid week of running and cross training. Unfortunately I am neglecting weight lifting....it is so hard to find time for everything in addition to keeping house and family commitments. But I am blessed to be able to do what I do, so I am happy. :D
