Re: Starting Fresh :3
Thanks guys! I think one of weightloss goals should really be to cut out coffee. Even though I'm not addicted to it, when a typical coffee drink that I enjoy is 460 calories, it's a little ridiculous. Especially considering this is what that 460 calories looks like:
Calories 460
Total Fat 12g
Saturated Fat 7g
Cholesterol 45mg
Sodium 310mg
Total Carbohydrate 84g
Sugars 82g
Protein 6g
Not to mention it costs about $5.50 for it. :/ I really need to quite drinking them, but sometimes I can't focus without caffeine and I generally hate plain coffee.... so I rely on these guys at least two or three times a week to get me through a day that is either long or incredibly stressful.
I haven't been eating terribly wonderfully and I really need to work on it. I hate that I have a pretty rampant sweet tooth, I crave sweets like nobody's business. Thankfully though, sweets are the only things I crave and I'm so picky in what kind of sweets I will eat that I tend to limit myself pretty well.

Re: Starting Fresh :3
Been eating terribly again. :/ I want to blame stress, but I know that's not a good enough excuse to eat poorly. Well, I have finals this week (the 4th and the 6th) and I'm going home the 7th, so hopefully I can make better choices while I'm at home. Then, the 15th I'm getting on a plane to head over to Europe for a month and a week. I can't wait, I know I'll probably eat poorly there, but I'll attempt to eat decently. I highly doubt that I'll get any chances to work out, but that's okay because I know I'll be doing a lot of walking and I'll definitely be enjoying myself! I'll start working extra seriously once I get home in July. I hope to lose at least 15 pounds before next school year, more if I can. I know that I definitely want to lose all of weight before graduation, it will be hard work but 104 weeks should be plenty of time to lose between 80 and 100 pounds if I do this right. I mean, even if I only lose 80 pounds by then, I'll look and feel so much better for graduation. Hell, even if I only lose 60 pounds, that will put me at about 180 which isn't bad for a woman height with as broad a bone structure as I have. We'll see! I know I can do this if I can just get myself to put mind to it! So far, I think I'm still down about three pounds since I started actually attempting to lose again.

Just enjoy yourself while in Euprose. Your right you will be walking a ton anyways. I wouldn't really worry to much about it till you get back. I want to lose the weight too. I've been half assing it for the past two years. So i will be right with you! Good luck on your finals!
Re: Starting Fresh :3
The timeframe is more than adequate to achieve what you want. You've got a little more difficulty when you're in Europe, regarding how to choose food and where to exercise, as you will not be in a set routing flitting from place to place, but it IS possible if you task your mind to it properly and weedle out the best eating opportunities and apply a good schedule and find the right places and moments to exercise.
So this needn't be a just see what happens and then be hard about it when you come back scenario, because this would be a good test of improvisation and planning skills, regarding your goals, so I'm confident this is possible and I'm hoping you'll be able to work something out and you can view this outlook positively, rather than with very cautious optimism

Well, Boss, I really don't think I'm going to be able to do any exercising other than a lot of walking whilst I'm over there and as for eating... you should see the girl I'm going with. haha. There's no way I'll be able to convince her that we NEED to eat at a healthy place and I'm too socially anxious and phobic to prance into a restaurant by myself so I can have healthy food. I'll see what I can do, and when there are healthy options, I'll choose them but I'm not going to stress myself out while on vacation even more when I know I'm going to be a nervous wreck with not knowing exactly where I am at all times and having to talk to strangers. By the way, Boss, I'm counting blessings with cautious optimism, lately I've been so disgusted with myself and feeling like things will never work out, so... I'll take what I've got.Boss Man wrote:The timeframe is more than adequate to achieve what you want. I'm excited for your trip by proxy
As much as there is a lot of deep fried stuff and crazy beer in the UK, you can get a lot of delicious, healthy meals in most places, and the portions are waaaaaay smaller than you will be used to as a North American - I'm in Canada, and noticed a huge difference the first time I went. I dropped 10 lbs and felt like I was starving to death. You'll have so much fun! Plans for any specific landmarks to visit?

Haha, I'm glad the portions are smaller! I always feel like I'm wasting money because I can never finish meals here in the US! I can't wait, and I leave for the trip in FOUR DAYS!!! I'm planning to see the London Eye, Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower, the Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Versailles, Oh gosh, actually the list of landmarks is terribly long. Haha. I'm so excited for this trip though!Athene wrote:I'm excited for your trip by proxyAs much as there is a lot of deep fried stuff and crazy beer in the UK, you can get a lot of delicious, healthy meals in most places, and the portions are waaaaaay smaller than you will be used to as a North American - I'm in Canada, and noticed a huge difference the first time I went.
