I didn't realize that. It was not normal breakfast, I "treated" myself this a.m. and went thru a Chick Fila drive thru on the way to work. :)
yes, I agree the chips are bad...but it's TACO night! still...there is room for improvement here.
ldematto wrote:Sleep - you need 7 good hours of sleep
The sleep problem is a win/lose situation. I like to have "me" time...when no one needs me, the house is quiet - so I end up staying up late. And then 5 hours of sleep is usually interrupted at least twice during the night. I'm a very light sleeper and any one that gets up to go to the restroom, or sometimes even cars out on the street passing the house, whatever...I wake up. If son has a bad dream, I wake up. If hubby snores - I wake up - heck, if I snore, I wake myself up! but you see what I'm saying. So sleep and the lack of it is definately a problem right now. I like getting up early before anyone else - again so i can have some quiet time. I used to go running, or workout first thing in the a.m., but I have been too tired to find the willpower.

I hear you on the sleep stuff :( I'm exhausted at night so fall asleep easy, but like you every little noise wakes me, hubby snoring, mine :) the dog whimpering - or just body saying GET UP! Ha!! I also love mornings alone! I take an Ambien CR every once in awhile just to get a full nights sleep! It's almost 9 PM - time to get ready for bed! LOL - well, not quite that early! I don't watch TV so it's easy for me to grab a book and go to bed - read a little and fall asleep.

P.S. I could be wrong on that bagel :)

Drive thru ?..I think your headed in the right direction with " pre packing " your own food, because it seems it would be hard to decipher the contents of " fast food " ..btw after u typed that did you notice the word " cheese " in each meal ?..dont get me wrong I loveeeeeeeeeee cheese, but its mostly FAT, isnt it ?..I still put cheese on sandwichs, just a smidge for taste . Best of luck on your shopping trip, hope you find some benefical alternatives :)

Being a Milk product, Cheese is mostly Casein Protein, some Fat and a bit of Lactose Sugar, which is a Disaccharide and fast digesting.

Low fat Cheese would be better, as it would have possibly a better Protein content, in a gram for gram comparison, but it would have a more deisrable ration of Saturates to Unsaturates.

Today is not a good day to post what I have eaten...its been a crazy day. It is son's birthday :D But his main party is not until tomorrow (when all family can come) so today has been running errands, grocery shopping, house cleaning, cake shopping...I have been going non stop all day. I'm exhausted! We are having all his favorites for dinner tonight: Cheese pizza and "pasta roni" w/corn on the cob - I don't know what I will eat - since none of that is exactly on diet  Tomorrows party will be just cake (chocolate) and snacks - chips, Trail mix and veggie tray. I think I will hang around the veggie tray and trail mix!
Todays food:
Breakfast: bowl of Wheat Chex w/vanilla soy milk, 2 slices of bacon
no snack
Lunch: half of a hamburger, small fries (BAD I know, once again out on the run with no "plan")
snack: veggies w/dip (LF sour cream & picante sauce mixed - yummmm!)
Supper: :?: not sure yet - most times when I dont eat what every body else is eating, I just make a WW PB (all natural) & J sandwich.

No workout today.... :| no time, too tired now
maybe an early a.m. run - that would be nice - a little "me" time before the family comes over.

I will Lu! He is the light of life, very special to us. So, yes I will enjoy every birthday I am blessed to have with him...I know he will be grown and gone before I can blink - He often asks me if I wish he was still a baby and I tell him that I love each and every age he has been, that each year is special in itself and it just gets better and better!

Lynne! You really are in the wrong profession! You should be a stand up comic! I saw this in Brentyboys thread and I'm still laughing!:

I can just see the conversation now...
At local Walmart Grocery:
“Sir, can you direct me to the Weetabix?”

“Yes, maam, the wheatchex is on aisle 7.”

“No! WEETabix”.

“Oh, sorry the wheaties are on...”
“NO! Weet A Bix!”

“ChexMix? - aisle 4!”

“OMG! I said - Weeta BIX!”

“Vicks? ...that’s over in the pharmacy section, aisle 2.”

“Oh for the love of.....Weet..a..bix!!! Can’t you hear?”

“Oh, why didn’t you say so?” ....hearing aids - aisle 10.”

Good point - but now that I've had a peek at in the prone position I think not - gravity is so cruel! Ha!!

Actually this morning only 1 of those pesky lbs remains.
