Fat Around Button Area?
Moderators: Boss Man, cassiegose
Well i skipped desert and asked for it to be saved for tomorow but does this mean i can't have it? And did an extra 200 calories on the bike so according to that 1000 calories. Now 6 meals im not sure if thats something i could get used to? Wouldn't breakfast - snack inbetween - lunch - snack inbetween - dinner work just as well?
I don't know what to do as dinner is cooked by mum and dad and as i said im limited to food choices im not making exscuses but that's the truth. Also have these last 11 days been wasted? As i have been working very hard and really hope there not.

If you feel like you MUST have the desert then have it. However you are the one who has been complaining for the past 11 days about not seeing results fast enough. If you truly want to see the results that bad you either won't have it or you will have only a small serving.
LOL! Yes Martin if you would rather do breakfast-snack-lunch-snack-dinner-snack you can do that too. Just keep the meals and the snacks at about the same calories and make sure youre getting protein with every meal. By you saying that youre not sure you could get used to the 6 meals a day... that pretty much tells me that you're not even willing to consider it with an open mind. Pretty much every source that you come across is going to tell you to eat this way because it truly does work. However if you are going to not even consider it with an open willing mind then i'm not sure how else i can help you here.
As for the past 11 days being wasted... i'm pretty sure i've already answered that question about 10 times so you already know the answer to that one. :)

Also just on a side note. I noticed this when i was sitting downstairs. hip bones are sticking out and u can sometimes see ribcage when im just standing up. mum thinks im too thin. Im not sure because i don't feel fat elsewhere just on the stomach so.. i was wondering if i continued the way i was did half the excercise on the bike so 20mins a day and just start doin like 40 sit ups a day and building up more a day would sort this?
To be honist, im not sure if i want to eat 6 meals a day for the rest of life. If it means not being ripped and massive then so be it i guess. However the main aim here is to lose the stomach fat so it's flat. Im still very intrested in your comments and please dont be offended by this.

No just keep doing what you're doing. Why do half the effort and get potentially less than half the effect?
You need to stand up and be counted here fella. You need to just say, I am going to try and do this, and I am going to just stick at it
.
You're asking questions which is fine, but you're over-analysing and over complicating things. It isn't always easy to stick to plans like this, but it doesn't have to be like some kind of torment.
You're trying to do something that is good for you, and will give you a better life, and you potentially have years ahead of you, so if one or two things don't work, then fine, make changes, but don't get hang-ups about stuff within 2 weeks of starting, and over-analysing everything, by saying stuff like I've got a sticky out bit here, I've got a little hollow bit there, I don't know what Vegetables or Fruits to eat, I think Cardio sessions aren't right.
I know you haven't said things exactly like that, but you are saying stuff in that kind of way, and you don't need to.
You've got to make time for this to work, and keep developing the meal plan you're on, with suggestions you've been given before and keep sticking to the exercise.
It will work, but not if you keep flapping about like a distressed mother bird, every time you do a Cardio session, or think about what Breakfast to have.
You CAN do this buddy, but you've got to be more understanding of yourself, your needs, your goals, and less hard on yourself, for every little thing, or think little pointless things are just stumbling blocks in your way, when they're not.
You get what I'm saying yeah. This isn't being hard on you, but you are 17, and it is a situation where you do need to show a bit of self belief in yourself, instead of worrying about every little thing.
We can only do so much, but we can't make something magic happen, and until you start to chill out a bit more with this stuff, and just keep putting the effort in, without being a stress head over practically everything, you'll potentially keep stumbling, when you change, Cardio too much, change weights too much, have erratic diet changes, and then create a situation, where the body is not getting the right attention, because you're not doing potentially the right stuff, and trying to stick at it for a few weeks.
It just looks like you're viewing every day as a chance to screw up, not progress, when you shouldn't.
You'r a good guy and we know you're not trying to be a butthead, so don't be hard or stressed with yourself okay

Martin,
I know Cassie and BossMan have given you wonderful advice. Please adhere to it. If you want the changes you claim to want, they know what their talking about. As far as just your stomach area, keep in mind, you cannot "spot reduce". Your body will lose fat all over once your diet is regulated and your weight/cardio routine is constant. You're not going to see changes overnight, it will take time. Slow and steady wins the race when your dealing with fat loss and keeping it off. You are the key here. You need to make the change for you and only you. If you succumb to the cakes, cookies, and all the goodies mom makes than your only making your path to weight loss harder on yourself. Your young, you have time to make this a lifestyle change. that does not mean you will never ever be able to have treats, everything in moderation. Will power has much to do with it as well as a positive attitude. Telling yourself, you can do this, you can succeed. Be realistic. Know you will stumble along the way, but it's ok. Pick yourself up again and start again. No one is perfect. We all pig out sometimes, all of us don;t push ourselves 150% at the gym 6 days a week. Don't be so hard on yourself. From all your posts, it seems that we are just not telling you what you want to hear and I mean this with all due respect. You have to want the change, you have to be in charge. We can give you suggestions, support and feedback, but we can't do it for you. Being fit and healthy takes work and determination. I wish you well and good luck with all your endeavors

Thanks for that however am i doing well and will i see changes if not then the past 12 days have been a total freaking waste.
For instance today ive eaten for breakfast rhubarb with a little bit of crumble only a smallish bowl probly 350 calories?
I then went on the excercise bike for 40mins and burned the usual 800 calories according to that.
Then had lunch which was 2 boiled eggs with 5 organic crispbread (40 calories per slice)
About a hour later i had an orange.
And now im just waiting for dinner not sure what it's going to be though,
I mean im doing this hardwork so surely stomach, i should be noticing it by now? Even if it's only a little amount of difference at this point.

Twelve days isn't going to show up in film.
And a dewd that apparently obsesses over his tummy bulge isn't going to be able to see results anyhow.
somebody else that doesn't see you regularly might notice a change, you won't see it, certainly not in twelve days and eating rhubarb crumbles.
I looked at your early pictures posted and can't see a rib anywhere.
like these guys said you need to buck up quit bitching and moaning and "just do it"
and another thing, don't think you eat a candy bar then work that bikes computer quizmo to 800 calories burned and think yer going to get results won't happen.
work hard eat right and get ya head on straight, its going to be awhile if you "just do it" to see a tangible result.
Rome wasn't built in twelve days and neither was you fat gut. try to remember how long it took to build you to your present state and see if it happened in twelve days!? if you can figure how long it took to get there maybe use that as a guide to reverse?
If nuttin else I'll read your posts as comedy as they have been pretty funny so far.
Regards,
Oscar

Where is your protein at this meal?
You should have had a snack here...maybe lowfat cottage cheese and some raw nuts
Then had lunch which was 2 boiled eggs with 5 organic crispbread (40 calories per slice)
Where is your veggie at this meal and not enough protein?
About a hour later i had an orange.
Again...no protein and veggie
And now im just waiting for dinner not sure what it's going to be though,

No you're not doing all this hard work...your not eating nearly enough friend. Are you doing any weightlifting or just cardio? I have a feeling your just not ready to make the commitment. Either that or you're just tryng to frustate all who are trying to help you. Eat 6 small meals a day, each one should have a protein source and a veggie. And I agree with oscarmadison....or as NIKE would say...JUST DO IT. We really are trying to help you but as they say you can lead a horse to water...well we all know the rest...

Again, thank you for suggesting, however i don't sit on computer all day. As for the food's again like i said im limited to food choices - i know it might seem like im making exscuses and seems like i don't want to hear this and im sorry if i come across that way but i really do want your advice, it's just hard trying to make the most of the food choices i have.katiesuarez wrote:Martin, stop counting calories! You are young; your metabolism should be fine. Just eat sensibly. Ever heard of the KISS principle? Here you go:
1. Lean protein, fruit and low GI carbs (oats)
2. Lean protein, veggies and healthy fat
3. Lean protein, veggies and healthy fat
4. Lean protein, veggies and healthy fat
5. Lean protein, veggies and healthy fat
6. Lean protein, veggies and healthy fat
Protein examples: 4-5 oz chicken breast; 4-5 oz turkey breast; 3-4 oz lean beef; 3-4 oz game meat; 6-8 oz fish; eggs and egg whites; whey powder (peri-workout or in oatmeal)
Veggie examples: broccoli; cauliflower; cabbage; celery; spinach; kale; bok choy; green beans; radicchio (note that peas and corn are not veggies)
Clean carb examples: oats; sweet potatoes; quinoa; brown rice; beans
Healthy fat examples: nuts; peanuts; sunflower seeds; EVOO; EVCO; avocado; fish oil; flaxseed meal
You know what else Martin? You are not seeing results because your diet is poor and you sit on your computer all day. You are 17!!! When I was your age, I was quite active. I played sports in high school and college, and I was always out with friends. You have already been given advice on how to clean up your diet. If you refuse to listen, then that’s your problem, but stop whining like a little girl. It seems like you are doing this just for attention, but you are going to get the wrong kind of attention if you continue this way. I think it’s time to shed the Underoos and put on your big man pants.
Also where it's a weekend i went out last night with mates but i was worried to even have a drink even though i wanted to so i didn't even have a can of beer. I mean if i keep this diet going does it mean i can't drink on weekends. And have i wasted the past 12 days? I thought i was doing alrite but i suppose not.
I won't mind putting on a bit of muscle on arms and chest espically round nipples area as im very sensitive about that. So yeah im willing but it's hard as i said but i will try best. What type of foods do i need to be eating if it's 6 meals a day and does it mean i will have to eat 6 meals a day even if i got big - or could i switch it round to 3?
For dumbells i lift them singlerly with each arm and sit in chair and push them up a few times but im not sure which excercises are best to be doing and how many of them/spending how long.
Im sorry if it seems like i wasn't intrested but i really really am, also i might start going swimming once a week to make a change on the cardio as swimming can help tone stomach?
I really want this guys, today i have eaten.
2 wheatabix and milk for breakfast (had 2 wheatabix instead of 3 because didn't have it til late as i didnt get in til 4am from last night)
Lunch i had - 6 organic crispbread (40 calories per) with a little bit of butter on (for taste)
Ive had an orange not long ago, only water for drinks.
For dinner ive had 1 jacket potato with beans and small sausages (like the hot dog ones) in a can. Half a can about 210 calories without the potato.
Today ive lifted weights a bit and then went on the excercise bike for 16mins. Off out now aswell.
Anyways thanks again.
