Good Morning all! Its raining on and off today so hopefully cooling off as I can't take those 80's temps at all. I saw later that I did get called in after 5 a.m, but I noticed it after 7 a.m when Dh made enough noise. I guess the sleeping help I took pretty late last night was finally working for me to not hear the vibrating phone:) I really didn't want to go in the heat and humidity as I go tomorrow and then thurs. and Fri. Otherwise washer was good as she knows I like a Early call anyway. I suppose tomorrow we will be busy:( We had a Very hot day Sat. at work and Sun also stayed hot. I did see a few fireworks as I took off to Marq. then to son's house there. Very humid in there, found a fan and did get some sleep after midnight sometimes. Played with the cat and got patch so not too much time at lake since I locked myself out also, but had part of stuff and other son came and put his key under the mat for me to get all stuff out when I left for good. He went swimming as it was so nice in Marq. and Lake Superior was even getting warm as tide was coming in anyway. Wish i could have jumped in. I guess he found a nice stretch of beach farther out and didn't do the jumping off the high rocks as he did the other day. Went other son's house then on way home and showered and washed hair and they both got home before I left so got home around 9 pm. Guess Marq. son came home with kids in time to be put to bed and he brings them daycare and DIL will be home tonight. His wife and him and her sis ran in a Bass run in her hometown and also managed to get on local tv as they got to the finish line:) Lucky it ws early as the heat came then!
Sounds like its hot all over but we certainly are not used to it and I as a FT Yooper, U.P. will never get used to such heat:) Guess I wouldn't be a snowbird ever. Lucky as I couldn't afford to do that:) Be careful in that heat Bama and maybe the new owners might like those plants?:) Hope you sell quick. Are you getting a lot of showings or having open house while your down there. I know one of the houses on our little road sold and not sure of other but I think some people are looking at it for their DD and her kids now. They live around the corner here and their DD's Dh just died young.
Sue, glad your feeling a bit better and nice to see you enjoyed your ME day also:) Love the relaxed cat! Chris, sounds like you did what everyone around here was doing this weekend with their kids, cooling off with water, swimming etc. Sounds like a good weekend. So far no A/C here, just have to put fans wherever I don't already have them. Mo, glad you got Cooper and hope his ear gets better soon. Does he go outside at all? I see those little cat coops they have now:) Glad the otehr gfurkids are getting along better too:) Hope you cool down too. Well, Dh will be home from his short hours soon so......I have to take care of 1 qt. of strawberries son left here the other night too:) Have a wonderful day everyone and some good sleeps also later!

Bama, sorry about the early heat, been there, done that. We are below our temps lately and none of us in the area are complaining and still so this week with a lovely 73 this a.m. and only headed to 94....we all love it LOL
I see you have been busy in the garden, got weights done and did cleaning and shredding yesterday. So you've been a busy beaver.
So glad the weekend was a great one, Chris. Gotta love those. Lots of fun activities for the kids and you got to play and cool off too at the beach. Sorry about the a/c's at night. Bummer on the driving to the kids camps but I am sure they enjoy it.

Well I am going to dermatologist tomorrow so I will be MIA but plan on doing walking/dancing for workout Tuesday night....have a good day and I will see you all on Wednesday.....I hope.

I ended up taking the day off from formal exercise since I went out to work in the garden before it got too hot this morning. We've had such a mix of heat and rain, everything--including the crop of weeds--is exploding. I pulled weeds for awhile, then picked the first few handfuls of green beans, a few radishes, a cup or so of raspberries, and a bunch of lettuce.
Hope it's a good day at work tomorrow, YAH, and you get a good night's sleep to get you ready! Sorry you locked yourself out, but glad your DS was around. So cool they were on TV; hope they had a fun run! Thanks on Cooper; he doesn't go outside, just on the screened porch. I don't know where he would have picked up ear mites. He seems to be feeling better today; I found a tube of Panalog in the cupboard so will try that for a day or two unless he seems miserable. I washed his beds today.

Great workouts, Bama! Sorry about the hot weather. It's been hot and sticky here, too, but at least it has been cooling off at night. No nighttime AC yet for us. I like to put it off as long as possible, because once the one window is blocked, we lose the cross-ventilation and have to run the AC. Sounds like you've been busy!
I started the trim painting project today, but just got as far as pulling out all the stuff I'll need, wood puttying, and scraping a radiator cover. Tomorrow should be some of the fun stuff anyway!

I am running late so just a quick check in now and will catch up later. Last night I did delts workout with arnold press, upright row, front raise, lateral raise, and rear fly. All of these were 20 reps and 3 sets.

Strength training for me today, followed by a 4 min. tabata interval to get the heart rate up.
Looks like a sticky, t-stormy day here today and tomorrow. I'm glad our AC units have a dehumidifier function--that's all I used yesterday and probably will be all I need today.

Great workout FitMo! I love the dehumidifier function too. Sounds like your garden is coming nicely. garden is very small this year. I am planning to do all evening workouts this week to make up for the driving.

Thanks Bossman. Might be longer than I thought with no weight type of workouts; and will be limited to walking only no lifting or stretching of the right arm at all. We shall see.

Tried another emailed workout today: after warm-up, 3 sets of 15 dumbbell rows (one arm at a time), 8 squat jumps, and 10 side plank lateral raises.
I started painting baseboards yesterday but only got the entry done--when I reached the little pass-through between living room/kitchen (about 3' x4') and between the two sides of the house (4' x4'), I decided to strip off the old wallpaper that has been there for about 20 years. I have to finish up stripping down the basement stairs, and then I can get back to the baseboards while I ponder how I want to paint those walls.
HI, so far, nice cooler day today anyway from the little bit of rain we had yesterday. Hopefully it will stay a bit like this for the next 2 work days but rain promised for Fri. I hear MI. is suppose to have Really Hot weather coming next week but looks like more way south of us so I guess sis will be glad to be way up north then:) And hopefully not too hot here either.
Hope your shopping trip went well Sue and glad you can get your Dh in to your dr. also soon. Sorry about the surgery and do take it easy with that for now. I know how hard it is to keep you down from cleaning:) No dog hair so should be ok for a longer time now:) Just relax for a while.
Mo, you are a worker too I see with the baseboards and garden and all! Wish I had that energy but seems I get exhausted just looking at this place:( I say, one of these days, but......anyway, enjoy some time relaxing also and hope Coop feel better too. Sorry about the humid stuff too as we sure get it enough up here.
Chris and all, I see you are all getting some good workouts in and I should do more at home also but don't seem to do it. I call it saving myself for work:) If I had a nice private yard, I would get a little pool.
Son's are getting ready to go GB for the wedding and all and middle son will stay down there dog sitting for the guy who gets married and try to find a place for himself then too. I'm sure he's getting a bit stressed now and I just hope it all goes easy and great and he can finally just relax and work. Nicer to have someone with him on this I know or working there also.

Could have gone for paid 2 hrs. for a meeting today of 20 min. but saw supervisor and got out of it. He said it was just a short one saying about a inspector coming at end of month etc. that the Administrator volunteered us for. Mostly maintenance, dietary and laundry parts I guess. YAH hope Tuesday the humidity was better and work went well also. Sorry about the bad weather. Thanks for the doctor's wishes. Having lived most of life at the ocean (most of it with dad in early years, and myself, friends and lifeguards whistling me in in later years LOL, plus no "sunscreen back then" and I love to lay, play and swim in the sun...in addition remember back when we grew up our mom's told us to go outside and play...well we did, plus got our sun too which was another thing they would say LOL), so now I am paying for nice tans of years past with the "barnacles of life" as first dermatologist here in CA said. Both Chuck and I had to go to one in Rochester for removal of larger masses we both had, luckily benign.
I see you got some awesome RLW out in the garden, Molasses. MMMM the radishes, raspberries and lettuce sound yummy....can ya tell I am NOT a green bean fan LOL
No Molasses, nothing worrying me on the barnacles of life and the spots I had her check were fine too. gyno said to have her check the spot near right arm down a bit and she said it's a cyst, just a hard one, I can take it out if you want and I said fine...now I wish I had let it be. As with reading the instructions and follow up more carefully when I got home.....I could be out of commission for quite some time and worst of all "no vacuuming"...Chuck offered but his back started up last night (it probably heard he was going to vacuum LOL) so we shall see. I will have to ask her after the 2 week period what the restrictions are.
So no I wasn't worried about anything.
I see you found some stuff for Cooper and washed his beds. I hope he's doing better today.

Great workout on Tuesday, Molasses and yes we had those when I grew up in the city, both mother and grandma...got the "heavy duty" high performance a/c's for the living room and front areas and their bedrooms. We had a small one in our bedroom which when grandma moved upstairs when we left for L.I. became her sewing room.
Awesome on the walk Tuesday morning. Thanks on the doctor visit. No dancing as couldn't do any kind of activity after the surgery.

Great workout and I see you started some painting too. We need it done here but missed the Spring and so will have to wait till Fall now as will need to be able to have windows open for air. Good luck with the painting.
Afternoon all, I am well Sue, Just been busy with Sewing machine but i will try and get caught up soon. Just trying to get some things done. Our friend in Ohio is very ill and not expected to be here much longer so trying to do some things in case we have to make a trip up there. She and I have been friends for years , Both worked at the same store and we also double dated a lot . Went to school with her husband and became friends after they married . Then we both got a job at the Local Krogers so we did a lot together and DH an hers have been buddies for years So very close .
I have been getting workouts in and yesterday I really did good . Had 19000+ steps in . So far today 11000 so you know I am on feet keeping busy.
I made Wash Cloth travel pouches for and DD / They go camping a lot with the Scouts and with these they can put their tooth brush, paste , shampoo , soap etc and roll right up to fit in the case . Then when they return can throw the cloth into the washer and be ready for the next trip .
We are on our way to Marie and Gregs for Happy Hour. drink of the evening is Flavored Grape Water . I am finding that I like the favored waters by Nestle's called splash and they are only 25 cents a bottle cheaper than soda and better for you.
Later Sisters. DH is calling me for who knows what .
