Failure

Post by Voluptuousme »

i have not been doing workouts. i did two big walks on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday I didn't do much. Mainly I cleaned. Thursday daughter was picked up by her bio-father. that was really depressing, Then dad moved in later that night. Planning on getting a house with the three of us in August. Anyway. Its been stressful and I just haven't had the motivation to get on top of workouts. Today dad is leaving the apartment and the neighbor down stairs is gone so I can do this Walking at home workout thing that I found on Realage.com That should be a big booster. Plus I am trying to do portion control, at least I have been thinking about it. It sounds stupid when you say it out loud. I don't need to finish the entire plate of food. Or I just need to make less. and water. I have to tell myself to just get up and fill your jug (its a jug I got when I was in labor with Tori, 32 oz.) I should be drinking like 3 or more a day.

this guy at husbands work lost 80lbs. simply with portion control. He said "I just stopped eating like a pig and I lost weight" Very inspiring. lol

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your feedback. xoxo :?

Portion control is like eating 6-7 meals a day!!

For breakfast… instead of eating 700 calories… they split it to 350 cals for 1st meal and another 350 cals for the 2nd meal.

Same thing with 3rd meal and 4th meal… smaller your portion and eat every 2-3 hours. Etc…

Make sure those are good healthy Food!!

That’s why something like Jenny Craig and Nutri System works…they send you food…
They portion for you and starve you for a bit until you get used to it.
And Bam you’re eating below your calorie maintenance of course you’re for sure gonna lose weight!

One of co-worker did it because we get a corporate discount from them.
She almost faint because she was hungry… She called them and told them what’s happening..
They said... oh, you’re just in the “starvationâ€

The main thing is though, calories restriction, does need some methodology behind it, as cutting a lot of calories still needs to be thought out a bit, rather than just I'll only have a smidge of this, and half a dollop of that.

Though it is a good thing.

As for Chopsticks, I defy anyone to eat a Ham sandwhich with Chopsticks, or certainly Yoghurt, Scrambled Eggs, Peanut Butter and Soup.

Or do you cheat and use the spring loaded ones?

Volup, I understand what you're saying, and I appreciate it's been a little difficult lately, but I know you want this a lot, and I know you can do this, and you can achieve what you're looking for.

So keep believing and don't be too hard on yourself okay. You'll get there, and you have made some good progress already, that you CAN be proud of, so keep taking it one day at a time, no worries, and don't lose any of that energy and sunshine, that helps make you what you are.

Keep sticking that thumb in the air, and keep showing people that wicked smile.

You'll be fine in the long run, and whatever happens we will be here for you, and we will understand.

Good luck :).

Bossman, you gotta be creative!

Ham sandwich – cut them in to square pieces and you can eat time one bit at a time…
Yogurt – Cut things like cucumber and dip it as sauce…
Same thing for the peanut better… cut a celery stick.
As for soup… put noodles… and Bam… there you go.... :D
Scrambled eggs... easy… pick them up piece by piece… it’s like picking up a piece of rice!

I eat those hot chips with chopsticks because I don't want fingers to turn red! :P

And no… no spring loaded ones… only for beginners!

Yes, creative sounds good, but personally I don't see what's wrong with a good old knife and fork. I think I'll use those and keep things simple :P

Pho' is an amazing soup that you can DEFINITELY eat with chop sticks. Then at the end if you can handle it just drink the rest from the bowl. nom nom nom.... And it is incredibly healthy.

Today I did this work out: http://www.realage.com/videos/workouts/
Video 1 and 2 with Leslie Sansone. Videos or program she does is In Home Walking.

I just finished the second video and I am sweating from every part of body. I didn't know you could sweat out of your forearms or the tops of your hands. Even now i am still really hot and I can feel muscles giving off heat throughout body. Its the easiest work out I've ever done. This will make the second time I have done it in a week. plan is to do Monday - Friday this week or every week depending on progress.

Another video on that list called: YOU: on a diet beginner workout. I intend to do that one all five days as well. I am going to drink some water and get back onto it.

I still have not got control of the eating portions thing. It seems if I want to follow a menu planner then I would have to spend A LOT of money at the grocery store. Eating every 3-4 hours blows mind. Guess I could set phone to go off every 3 - 4 hours. That should do it. I am going to do own portion of 1 cup of Whatever it is that I am going to eat. Or rather whatever I have available lol.

Thanks for reading rant lol xoxo

Yes forearms can sweat, because Hands and feet are two of the biggest heat / cold conductors.

I get that a bit sometimes on the Forearms, but I get around it by wearing sweat bands, kind of like the things Tennis players wear. Plus I think they provide a little more cushioning / support for the Forearms. Certainly don't believe they restrict movment, or bloodflow etc etc, so that's another possible plus.

I got your message boss man. And thank you so much for your support and offering me your time and attention. It truly mean a lot.

I am stopping to let everyone know that i am sweating like a pig. I love it. It makes me feel really good to know i'm actually burning some fat and making progress I can see.

We tossed the scale out too. Measurements are all I need. I also set alarm to go off every 3 to 4 hours so i can nom on a little something. In fact it just went off.

Also, I did the beginner work out first for strength training and the walking, so that is 50 min. of work out. :) thats a big deal for me.

That's good to hear :). One day at a time, but I can see how much you're trying to make this work, and I'm glad you're being a little easier on yourself, and you should be proud of all the little positives.

You're doing well, so chin up, and keep going :).

I'm almost there. two more days. And what the hell. I'll do it 7 days a week. Its not a terribly difficult workout. Plus I feel really good after a good sweat.

I am considering doing the the ab workout maybe once a week. It looks really hard. But hey. Can't hurt to try, unless I pull something and can't move ever gone. haha. ((knock on wood))

Today was a playdate day. I will workout when I get home. I will need it. These playdates leave me lacking in self control for all the delicious snacks everyone brings.

Leave some posts and remind me to workout tonight. I really like the support I get from all of you. Thanks

:)
