The RunKeeper app is available for Android phones too, I have a coworker who got it after I mentioned it. It is awesome because you never have to track your miles again, it does it for you. I had the same problem with a park I used to run, I never knew how far it was, now I know exactly what distance is every time

I'm sorry you had a down moment.rockchick_82808 wrote: Today I had a down moment. Even though I weighed in at 219 this am I just had a moment of sadness. I saw this post on fb about a hug and being lifted up and swung around. I never had that, I have missed so much growing up and wish I could of had the high school yrs ect. I know all I can do is look fwd but how much longer is this going to take? I want so badly to get the most out of life and not have weight be an issue. I want to go sky diving and bungee jumping but I still exceed the limit. I'm so sick and tired of feeling hopeless.

Re: C-tina's work out blog!
You are not hopeless Christina. You are someone who has got to where you are now from that situation where you were upset in the shower.
You have had some life changes along the way, particularly in the last year and you have tried hard not to let change get in the way of progress.
You don't need to feel hopeless. Hopelessness is what people who can't find a way forward feel. You ARE finding a way forward and you're making steady progress and you should be proud of yourself
.
You posted a picture less than two days ago, that summed up a lot of what you have done and if there was ever a reason not to feel hopeless, then it is that.
You need to look at the bigger picture as well. It's not all about weight, it's about how your internal mechanics work as well and whilst you can't see some of the changes, they can be measured in tests, though admittedly some of those cost money, but in the case of blood pressure, a simple and relatively expensive home monitor tells you what you need to know.
You don't need to feel hopeless when you have been achieving what you have been achieving.
I am sending you a BIG HUG, because I am so darn proud of you and you should never have to feel badly for how you are doing, or what has happened to you in your past.
The good things were and are often your doing and the bad things mostly not.
So think about the bigger picture and think about how far you've come. You can only keep doing what you're doing and making more change happen, but it isn't one of these things as, you know, where you can just ditch weight hand over fist each week, without it being an unhealthy thing.
You've done brilliantly, so don't underestimate yourself and remember you're in it for the long haul. This is your whole life, not just a a few years, because when you get what you're looking for, the key is to keep it

Re: C-tina's work out blog!
Thank u everyone for ur support. I really needed it. Every once in a while I still get those moments. One thing Bozeman mentioned about the international mechanics, I did notice on run a couple days ago that heart rate actually goes back to resting heart rate really quickly now. Plus its starting to become challenging to get to target heart rate. I usually keep a pretty steady jog pace so I can go further. Granted last jog was tough bc it was cold out and I was tired. I did 12 min miles that day. I was really struggling, but I still did 4miles! Yeap I downloaded the app and its really cool. Distance and time per mile! I love it! This morning I weighed in at 218! 5 pounds down since the 12th! So happy. I noticed work pants are going down in size too. Also, I had to get a couple new shirts for work. I went to a store that last yr I couldn't even buy a shirt from bc I exceeded their sizes. It's debs. Even though they run on a Jr scale I never was over a 3x until last yr. Today I can get either a 1x or 2x depending on style. Over the weekend seas the first time in a long time I was able to buy a shirt at a regular store such as target and only in a XL! It's been about 5yrs since I was able to do that! I also have 3bags of clothes to donate and threw out a bag of big worn out clothes. I really cleaned out closet. It felt great! At that store debs,, I was having a hard time finding shorts bc everything left was too big!!!!! Its crazy! I keep focusing on this run I have in august as drive to keep up with the workouts too bc real endurance race. current bf is also loosing weight and we been together for two months and he has lost 20 pounds! We keep each other motivated.

I find you inspiring christina. Not even just with weight loss but just what sounds like you've been through in your life and how you have come so far!

Re: C-tina's work out blog!
Thank u both very much.
the run is a 5k but with in it is bootcamp drills. Wall climbing, crawling through trenches, crawling under barbed wire stuff like that. So I want to build up upper body strength. Having gone through the bootcamp course at the gym last yr, I know I can do it despite how long it takes to finish. I just know, that when I do finish it its going to be an amazing feeling. Bc before last yr, I never would of attempted it. I never would of pushed myself to see of I could accomplish it bc I was afraid of failing. Now, I don't look at that way. It's a challenge like other everyday events, u try and push yourself to see what u are really made off. That self doubt will get a slap in the face once u see how u can truly achieve anything.

Re: C-tina's work out blog!
Developing overall strength will be a great boon in the lon-term too and will boost your weight loss potential, so DEFINITELY do that
.
