Thanks guys! I am in a much better place the last few weeks than I have been in a while. I finally got the motivation I needed to start working on both exercise and diet and it has been paying off. schedule is lightening up quite a bit now so I should be able to kick up the exercise a notch! I am still too scared to run because of the shins, but I am getting the urge so I may have to give it a try this week. knee has been bothering me slightly, so I will make sure to have knee brace on.

Yesterday I was out to lunch with a coworker and she wouldn't stop smiling at me. I finally asked her what the heck she was laughing at and she said "You just don't see it, do you?" I had no clue what she was talking about so she went on to say that I am so self-conscious that I don't even realize how many "second looks" I get from guys. Honestly, I don't think it's me they are looking at, but it felt nice to have someone say that.

Not sure if I have mentioned this or not, but a couple of months ago I went from blonde to brunette  It has been a pretty major change but I love it!

Definitely a nice compliment! Your a pretty girl, I'm sure it was you they were looking at.

I don't remember you mentioning that. Are you naturally a blond or brunette? Hope you don't mind asking. Would love to see a pic Jocelyn! IF your naturally a brunette i'm sure it's much easier to take care of with regrowth and easier to maintain too. It sounds like you have a reason to love it with the second glances your getting. I'm betting it looks pretty good. :P

Becky, I am naturally a blonde, have been whole life, so it has been quite a change! I have always had darker roots though, so the outgrowth isn't a problem at all, which seems really strange since I have always been blonde :? I posted the pic (don't worry, I wasn't actually driving when I took it  Not the greatest pic, but I guess it works

Thanks everyone, I am blushing  I have a hard time with compliments because I just don't see it anymore. I think for me the hardest part has been that I have always been known as the small, thin one in any group I was with. And then a few years ago I started packing on the pounds and I don't recognize myself anymore. Even when I lost all of that weight last summer and was close to goal weight, I still felt fat. I don't know if I will ever be able to see myself that way again, even if I lose all of the weight I have gained. I think that is why it is so hard for me to keep weight off, I still see myself as overweight.

Today I had a super stressful day at work - all I could think of was how bad I wanted to come home and eat Chinese, crawl into bed, and erase the day (I sure wish we could do that once in a while!). I actually exited at exit (right by the Chinese restaurant) but then I drove by the restaurant and got back on and headed to the gym :D It felt great :D

You are someone who is learning to find that inner resolve, that makes the difference between consistency and fluctuating results.

Too many people keep their eating habits consistent for a while but within 10-14 days, they have succumbed to old habits again and it can become a difficult cycle to shake.

You ARE a beautiful person and you are NOT fat. Don't compare yourself to people with wafer thin bodyshapes or other similar body types, because if you are, you're doing yourself no favours and will potentially dent your self esteem.

You have no solid reasons to see yourself as Fat, when you've lost nearly all the weight you wanted to, because you don't look fat.

That's not to say you have achieved an ideal body by your estimations, but you're far from fat and you look like a Lady and you look healthy, glowing and well. Be proud of yourself Jocelyn and know that every week you are getting stronger and every week you are learning more about your inner self and how to control it and you're creating more positives and more reasons to be proud of yourself.

You're doing great :).

Thanks Boss - but there is a reason I didn't post a fully body pic  I have actually put on more weight than I started with at the beginning of last year, so I was officially at heaviest a few weeks ago. I have lost seven pounds, but I have a feeling when I weigh in tomorrow it will be a gain. But I am on the right track again, so I guess that is what matters!
