tried a new work out class

Post by rockchick_82808 »

So, I went to this core class that works out mainly ur abs. It was really hard! I took friend with me today. It was funny. we had to go on the ball and she fell off then kicked arm! Ya...there's a mark. lol. I wasn't able to keep up with some of it but I kept pushing. The guy who was teachin us was really nice and pushed us. I love a trainer that pushes u. He had to come by to move us around in the right position a couple times tho. It was funny he lifted me like I was a feather it was crazy! I really want to stick to this class tho I think it will give me the results I've been looking for. no pain...no gain.

Well, tonite I brought a different bc the one who I work out with 3 days a wk doesn't feel comfertable yet goin to classes. Otherwise, she is doin good. She actually prefrered the workouts I suggested v.s. The guy she had. She said he pushed too hard that she hurt so bad for days that's y I haven't seen her the last couple workouts. She does great she keeps up with the workout doesn't quit when it gets to be a slight challange. Im proud of her.

I hope that works out for you. I'm sceptical about things like that. Yes it might be a lot better than some systems, but even a points system to me at least, doesn't sound adequate enough to teach portion control or weight loss retention, though I've never seen any relapse figures for people who finish using Weight Watchers, when they hit their target, so I can't comment on that possibility too much in this instance.

thank u guys! :) I know i just got word today from how friend had started the nutrisystem. i personaly couldnt see doin that bc ur eatting frozen food all the time. what if u want to cook something? i couldnt see doin that for the rest of life. i know mom tried that a long time ago and it didnt work for her. she was telling me how she has friends that have lost 30lbs in a month. that is a bit scarey to me.i wouldnt want to loose that much that fast.

Yes they have their own line of food, though its not mandatory, mom gave me a weight watchers cookbook over a decade ago ( before they created * weight watchers food * in the stores ) seems like a ok thing, from reading it.The points, seem like punishment & reward & not sure if that should be part of anyones journey, but to each their own, best of luck with it :D

So last night I was getting discouraged bc weight keeps goin up and down from 215-218. So I decided to take a pic of a front and side view and compared it to last years. I was surprised. tummy got smaller, thighs smaller, neck thinner, and no double chin. Even though the weight hasn't changed much the fat has been comin off. The camera doesn't lie. Lol!

One thing I don't understand, about 7wks ago when I was 1st on the treadmill I had to be at 8incline and 3.4mph to get to heart rate of 170. Why is it that now I have to go to a 9incline at 4.0mph to get that same heart rate?

Im still new to the heart rate thing. Is there any certain heart rate that shows ur healthy for a certain age or does that only go by body type?

thanks girls!!!!! i noticed i have been getting stronger too. i use to do 20lbs on the free motion machine for the chest and now im at 25lbs. also i was at 30lbs for another chest press and now im at 35. also heart rate has been getting better! a few months ago trainer had me at somewhere around a 8incline and 3.2speed so i can reach 170 hr. now to get that same hr i have to have a 10incline and 4.0speed. its great to see these little things pop up everywhere. I also noticed i feel more energized throughout the day. For example, it was prob. in nov. or December when i moved in with bf and his fam. his bathroom was so bad i scrubbed in there for over an hour and i was sore for 3days from it. yesterday i was at work and did a side job in the break room. the floor was so bad that the buffer wouldnt even clean it. so i got on hands and knees and worked each square at a time for and hr and a half. today...i feel great. no pain what so ever. i was completely shocked. almost as shocked as manager when he saw the floor. hes gonna buy me three lunches bc of it. lol.

its nice to see how i'm improving in other things along with the inches lost. even though im not really seeing improvement on the scale, i'm seeing improvement elsewhere. Every little bit counts and i try really really hard to remind myself that.

the latest sports illustrated swimsuit magazine came out and i felt so insecure about myself that every time i walked by it i wanted to tear up. bf was there and saw me cutting paper. i told him if manager asks, we had a customer complaint about the cover. i didnt want to have that feeling anymore while walking past it.

what i really want is to get past this insecurity. I know its on me to work at it and I have gotten better, wayyyyy better then i use to be. i dont really feel to comfortable to become too open about how bad it was but it lead to a great deal of depression. I still get lil spurts once in a great while but not an every day ordeal like it was. I'm quite proud that i have gotten this far. i owe a lot of that to bf. he has been by side through it all. when i would get in those moods he would make me tell myself that im beautiful and wouldnt leave me alone untill i said it aaaaannnnd meant it. it was really hard at first extremely hard. I catch myself saying that to myself now once in a while that i am beautiful and i have never felt that way in life! He really has been backbone and i think the world of him.

two things he said to me that i will never forget.

1. i told him that i will never change and i'll never reach goal. he asked me "why do u believe that ur life is written in stone?" i couldnt answer. it was hard. i've been thinking about it a lot and i believe its because of what i grew up with and how everyone around me was soooo negative that i didnt know anything else. then i thought of him. if life really were set in stone i wouldnt of been blessed with meeting someone so positive and so kind and so trustworthy. It really changed how i begain to look at things.

2. i asked him if he was ever afraid of failing at something he worked so hard for and wanted all his life and never being able to see the day to experience it. he told me "nothing in life comes easy and if it does ur doing something wrong." He is so right. If things came easy we wouldnt have the chance to enjoy what we have been given. to be proud of our selfs in what we have achieved. things like that are what we look back on in life. i maybe only 21 but i had to grow up fast. i didnt live in the best household and really didnt have parents around. i had to learn how to do everything on own at a very young age. Its not something to brag about it can be a depressing to story to people who i may tell it to, but looking at what i went through forced me to make decisions along the way and because i made good ones i became who i am today.

i take these words to heart that he had said to me. this weight loss wont be an easy task and will have many bumps or hills, but i can make it. Just have to stay positive and look forward to what is yet to come.
