green beans

Post by musculArgirl2 »

is it okay to eat a lot of green beans. I'm kind of confused on if they are a veggie, fruit or legume. green beans are probably one of favorite veggies. I read there is lectin in green beans though or it can be a problem with kindey or gall baldder issues??

There great way for me to get fruit or veggies in, I"m eating frozen but about 2.5 cups a day?? :? I'm sauteing them with a little olive oil and garlic.

Beans are Legumes and have more protein content than vegetables, but a quick check reveals, they have around 80% more carohydrate than Broccoli, based on cup sizes.

Green beans are good source of protein you can eat it without any second thought. And advise is add all other fruits and vegetables too.

You can eat them without any second thought, unless you are intolerant to Salyc Acid, then Green beans are a no-no, unless you boil them until the acid is destroyed, by which time, the Beans will probably be pretty tasteless and probably very mushy.

Soemone on here a while back suffered with that problem. The same thing occured with vegetables, making it hard for him to consume complex carb sources, visa vie levels of choice.
