Hi,
I recently started running in a canyon since I moved to a hilly area. I used to run on a flat groung before.
After aroung 5-6 miles I start having pian in the right knee on outer Side. One of running buddies told me its shoe.
I have a stability shoe, Ascis Gel Evolution. On flt ground I could run 8-10 miles without hurting the knee.
Do I need a different pair of shoes to run in a canyon? I use knee guard but it only makes it less sore compared to running without it.
Thanks,
Dhawal

Re: Running in Canyon
I asked a fellow runner. He suggested to do some stretching and take it easy downhill. It helped.

Stretching is always important and I'm glad it has helped you. Have you considered switching to a trail shoe? It might help give you better stabilization across the uneven surfaces of off road running. Good luck to you!
