Roby's back on track

Post by Roby2015 »

Hello again
I started logging workouts and then life got crazy so..new day - new beginning

Friday 12/12/14
Meditation 10 min
Physical Therapy 20 min
Qi Gong 5min
Balance 5 min
Low/no weight program (from Boss Man) 10reps/ 2 sets all ex
squats
lunges
bent over rows - 3lb hand wts
pull up - using band strapped over top door hinge pulling down as well as stepping on band and pulling up
shrug
plank 30 seconds - knees on floor
I will walk later this afternoon (when it's warmer and I need the mind break from work) for 20 minutes

I am dealing with multiple old injuries so the weight gets added slowly over the course of a few weeks, and the walking gets increased slowly also

Weekly format: I should be doing the first 4 exercises and 20 minute walk daily and alternating weights, yoga and walking longer than 30 minutes daily

Be proud of what you're doing, because you're not letting the old injuries put you off and you're being mentally strong, but also sensible about things.

GOOD LUCK and keep us updated :).

FRI add
Walk 20 min

SAT
Med 15 min
PT
balance

SUN
Walk 30 min

MON
PT
Balance

TUE
Walk 30 min
PT
Balance
Qi Gong
gotta give a Kudos to the hubby - I didn't get the PT done in the morning so took advantage of the fire in the fireplace and did them in the evening - about halfway through the hubby comes by with a kiss and glass of homemade mead :sunshine: I love that guy

WED
Med 10
PT
Bal
Qi Gong
Wts - added 3lb wts to most of the exercises and all seems good :D
Walk 20 min

Followup with doctors - general practitioner wants me to see a nephrologist regarding kidney stones (the urologist doesn't want to see me for 6 months) and a nutritionist to ensure I'm eating healthy (oxalate stones means restricting spinach, kale and beet consumption). The breast surgeon wants a followup in Feb and depending on that, the GP might want me to see an endocronologist because the breast discharge and menstrual irregularities might be hormonal in nature. But ultrasound for kidney stones showed a fibroid which could also be the reason for the menstrual issues...waiting on the Gyn to see what's next there. In the meantime I work out and get stronger to face whatever comes way
Have a great day everyone

Try not to worry too much Roby and GOOD LUCK. You've got a lot on your plate it seems, but focusing on your workouts, diet and keeping life as normal as is possible, should help you to fin more happiness, calm and take your mind off things a bit more.

We'll be here for you if you need anything else, so keep us updated and know we are behind you and thinking of you during these unsettling times. You're a brave Lady and you should be proud of yourself and I'm proud of you too :).

I didn't do much of anything this past week because I twisted knee on the ice and needed to let it heal - even the pt was aggravating it.

Fall down :Hahabonk: ...get up :sunshine:

Sunday 1/18
Med 10 min
PT - slow and methodical
QiGong
Balance
Walk - at 20 min the knee started acting up so I stopped
