Christenn Cloe – Fitness Model Interview
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I was born in Kenton-on-Sea in South Africa which is a very beautiful small town. There was no high school in Kenton-on-Sea therefore my family moved to Port Elizabeth. After I completed matric (final year of high school), I completed a business management course and during that time I was scouted for modeling.
How and why did you get started in fitness?
I always played soccer and rugby with my brother and I always kept active growing up. My real fitness workouts started when I moved into an apartment with two bedrooms and no children. The second bedroom became a gym room. My modeling work and my part-time work are also a big part of why my fitness training got more intense.
What is the best thing about being fit and living a healthy lifestyle?
Gaining confidence is the best part of my new lifestyle. I’m still very shy and down to earth, but I feel better about myself since the transformation. Clothes that never looked good, look stunning now and I feel good physically to do various tasks. I have more energy and I can get more done in the day.
Tell us about your biggest fitness influence?
What is your greatest achievement so far?
My distinction in my business management course, being scouted for my dream magazine and opening Swift Innovation Services with my fiance.
What is your favorite body part on yourself and on the opposite sex?
My favorite body part on myself is my bum and my lips. I always spend more time on my glute workout to create that Brazilian bubble butt. My favorite part on a man is his arms. If a man has muscular arms then that’s a big turn on for me.
What kind of cardio do you like best and why?
Boxing is my favorite cardio workout. The best advice I can give to anyone is to buy a boxing bag and gloves. You will get a full body workout and you can target all of your problem areas. Boxing provided me with fast results, especially when I learned to be light on my feet.
What type of nutritional supplements do you use?
I don’t use any supplements. I do everything naturally since the previous supplements I’ve tried left me with headaches. I make my own smoothies as a supplement. I always add some coconut milk into my smoothies for all the natural benefits. I use my Promixx bottle and it works like a charm. I highly recommend it for supplements and to mix thick protein shakes.
What do you think of the latest fitness trends like P90X, Insanity and CrossFit?
I have not tried any of those fitness trends as I’m very happy with my current workout.
What type of food or supplements do you consume pre-workout and post-workout?
Before my workout I love to eat plain Greek yogurt and grapes or I make a fruit smoothie with coconut milk. Greek yogurt has double the protein and half the carbs.
How do you deal with cravings for junk foods, sweets and salty food?
I don’t deprive myself from cravings, I just eat in moderation. If I get a late night craving I will drink a full glass of water. I eat junk food on a regular basis and I’m always munching on chocolate but the next day I workout even harder.
What are the contents of your refrigerator?
What are your top 3 favorite exercises and why?
- The Double Diamond – this really changed the shape of my bum.
- Squats – they keep me tight and work my legs and bum.
- The Touchdown – this gave me a full and round bum.
What tips do you recommend for eating out at restaurants to stay on a clean diet?
I recommend steamed shrimp, boneless wings and a salad. I always end up ordering seafood. These options will ensure you get all your nutrients and you don’t gain weight while you’re enjoying your time. It’s possible to eat out and eat clean because all menus have healthier options.
What does your gym playlist look like and what’s your favorite song to listen to when training?
I listen to hip-hop/rap music and the majority of my playlists consist of Mac Miller, Juicy J, Odd Future, Lil Wayne and Drake. My motivational song to start my workouts is “0 to 100” by Drake!
What is the most challenging thing you deal with about consistently staying in top shape?
There is very little time in the day for me to squeeze in a workout. To stay in shape I need to exercise but sometimes I’m busy early in the morning and then I have photo shoots. After that I work the night shift at Hooters, then I get home at 11pm from work. This makes it difficult to workout during the day. The amount of Cadbury chocolate is my biggest challenge and I have to constantly remind myself about moderation 🙂
Please describe your normal diet. What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?
- Meal #1: Plain Greek yogurt with fruit and all bran flakes.
- Meal #2: Fruit or a smoothie with coconut milk.
- Meal #3: Chicken salad and orange juice.
- Meal #4: Chicken fillet with broccoli and cabbage or lean beef, mixed vegetables and baked beans.
- Meal #5: I never eat past 8pm.
Lift weights! Since I’ve been lifting weights I’ve built muscle, burned fat and I can perform better in my everyday life.
How does your family, friends and significant other react to and deal with your strict fitness lifestyle?
I always make time to see my family. I try to workout before work if I know my shift ends past 11pm. I also workout before I go to family gatherings. That way when I visit my family I can spend quality time with them.
What are your top 5 tips for losing body fat and getting shredded?
- Boxing!
- Workout your gluteus maximus, medius and minimus muscles.
- Eat raw egg whites for protein.

What is your favorite healthy food and your favorite cheat food?
My favorite healthy food is fish and my favorite cheat food is Cadbury chocolate!
How do you stay motivated?
My motivation comes from within and from my job. I would like to fit into my uniform as best as I can and being a model, it’s my job to stay in shape so that’s great motivation.
What does the future hold for you?
I am in the process of being published in a magazine that I’ve literally wanted to be in since I was a little girl. After that I would love to continue growing as a model and building the company with my fiance. I would love to open a few small businesses over time and one day I would love to be married with children.
