Ana’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I have to say that being young and overweight is never a nice experience. I’ve been overweight since I was around 10 years old, so in a way I was “used to it”. Then one day when I turned 24, something inside told me, that’s enough!
What made you decide to lose weight?
Basically I wanted to be confident, to be able to be 25 and do what 25 years olds do like wear pretty clothes. I was also having problems with my knees, so I decided that it was now or never!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I think in this order: #1: balanced diet (I lost half the weight with Weight Watchers), #2: exercise, and #3: drink 1 liter of water every day!
What was most challenging about losing weight?
For a compulsive eater, the biggest challenge was to think twice before eating not for hunger but because of my feelings and also to be able to keep going for a year!
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started to notice a difference since the first week. But I guess to see the real changes, it took me about 4 months.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
1 year! Even though I’m sure this is a life thing, it’s so worth it!
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Still starting this stage!
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
Well I can honestly say it changed 100%. Everything from confidence and just being able to try things that I was too “ashamed” of doing like wearing dresses, talking to boys and being more flirty. Just in general showing more happiness.
