Seeing pictures of myself and seeing the bathroom scale turn to 250 pounds. It was time for change.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I cut alcohol out completely. I no longer eat fried or bagged food. I exercise everyday in some way.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Getting up off the sofa, pouring out the beer and putting down the potato chips.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I saw results both on the scale and in the mirror at 4 weeks.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I stepped on the scale at 250 pounds on December 1st, 2010.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’m still losing fat and gaining muscle. Fitness is not a destination, it’s a journey. This journey will last a lifetime for me.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I don’t feel depressed or sorry for myself. I have a ton of motivation both physically and mentally. I feel unstoppable. Stress is at a minimum and I’ve never been more proud of myself.
