Brittany’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I was always a little chunky but in the past 6 months I would look at pictures of myself slowly getting heavier and heavier. I spent so much time wishing I was smaller.
What made you decide to lose weight?
There was a point where I was tired of the 30 percent of my time wishing how I wanted to be skinnier. I wanted to be the girl that everyone looked at!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I workout 6 times a week and eat healthy. If you eat it, you have to work it off!
What was most challenging about losing weight?
The first couple of weeks was the worst because you’re putting so much effort and time into something and you want to see results. I just kept thinking, it’ll all pay off!
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It’s hard to look at yourself and notice changes. I always look at old pictures because it makes me feel like I have cleared that obstacle. I saw the number on the scale go down way faster than I physically saw weight drop.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I just got to a weight that I like. Now I’m doing weights to get more toned.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
My life has changed completely! I look in the mirror and pictures and I think, “I did this!” I am so confident now. I’m THAT girl that I always wanted to be! You never think that if you go to the gym everyday that you’ll be that girl to lose weight but it really is as simple as that.

Weight loss tip #1:
Exercise, exercise, exercise!
Weight loss tip #2:
Limit alcohol consumption! It is not only calorie loaded but also slows your metabolism.
Weight loss tip #3:
When you’re losing weight it’s a mindset! Don’t set yourself up for failure with a negative attitude. Think about the future and how great you’re going to look at the beach this summer.
Weight loss tip #4:
Read the calories on EVERYTHING. If you know how much is in what you’re about to eat you’re less likely to eat it, especially when you know how many miles it’s going to take you to burn it off. It’s simple, eat less calories and burn more calories. It’s so simple!
Weight loss tip #5:
Don’t focus on completely cutting out a food like carbs. How realistic is it to never eat a carb for the rest of your life? Think LONG TERM!

Egg white omelet.
A turkey sandwich and some crackers.
Baked sweet potato fries with baked salmon.

Rice cakes, Power Bar, fat-free soft serve ice cream.

1 hour of weight training a day.
1 hour a day of running or the stairclimber. I run 6 miles every other day.
