Jazmin’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I’ve always been unhappy about my weight. It wasn’t until I saw a picture of myself with friends in the beginning of my sophomore year of college that I decided enough was enough. I decided to make a change.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I decided to make a change after the summer of my sophomore year. All of my friends were going to try to lose weight before the school year started so I wanted to prove to them that I could do it too.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I started running every day and began cutting my food portions in half. It was hard at first but eventually it became a lifestyle change and the weight started falling off.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Not seeing the weight come off at first. I felt like I was working really hard and nothing showed from it. It was very frustrating.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It took about two months before I started to notice a difference.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’m still losing weight and I currently have more weight to lose before I hit my goal weight. I still run at least 5 days a week and I watch my portion sizes and what I put in my mouth.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I can buy smaller size clothes. My attitude is better. I don’t nap after eating anymore and I just feel more confident in my skin. I can wear a bathing suit at the beach now and not feel uncomfortable.
