John’s Weight Loss Story!
I lost weight while working part-time at Pizza Hut, where I am currently employed. I have been an overeating food addict for the last 10 years. At one point I would go to 3-4 different fast food places just for lunch! I am currently studying to become a NASM certified personal trainer so I can help other people to become a better version of themselves and to give me a reason not to return to my old habits!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I became unhappy in 2012.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I was very unhappy with myself. I turned 30 in 2013 and I figured I would be dead by the time I turned 40. I wanted to see my daughter grow up.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I quit drinking soda and watched my portion control. Getting up and being dedicated was also important.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Trying to eat better and choosing healthier foods.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
Within the first month or two.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
A little over 6 months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Since May 2013.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
My family and my newfound love for myself.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I’m a happier person now. I don’t want to hide in my room anymore. I enjoy myself more knowing that I can do something if I work hard enough.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Keep it simple. Make small promises to yourself, this builds integrity which builds self-esteem. Do what you can since doing anything is better than nothing!

Eggs with spinach and a spinach, berry smoothie.
Chicken wrap with spinach and a few Pringles.
Grilled chicken with grilled zucchini.

Varies between apples, oranges, bananas, almonds, and protein shakes.
Whey protein, multivitamin.
John’s Weight Loss Workouts!
I workout 5 days a week for an hour and it consists of bodyweight training and step ups.
I love walking! Even if it is for only 5 minutes a day, just walk!
