John’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
December 2011, I was at rock bottom. I needed a change, I was unhappy with every aspect in my life.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I had a physical coming in March 2012 for work so on January 1, 2012 I decided it was time to lose weight.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Figuring out how to eat and what to eat. I learned real food tastes so much better.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Ditching beer and all of the other processed food I was eating. I loved fast food. Now I haven’t had it in two years.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
Within 3-4 weeks I noticed I was down about 15 pounds and within 3 months I had lost about 40-50 pounds.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It has taken about a year and half to get to where I am. My weight loss has stopped because I am working out every day and building new muscle.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
Helping others is my goal now. I started a blog (wwjme.com) to help people learn how to eat Paleo.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
My life has been so amazing since I lost weight. I am the happiest I have ever been and it has taught me to enjoy life everyday!
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Keep it simple and don’t overthink things!
